Guest chrissy63 Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007  Hi Don't know if this is a dumb question but will ask anyway If panel doctor says medicals are ok and chest xray, blood results and extra reports are all fine is it likely that the MOC will turn you down. Thanks chrissy
Guest Gollywobbler Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Hi Chrissy Ask him whether he feels able to tick Box A on Form 26 or whether, having examined you, he feels compelled to tick Box B. If Box B is ticked then the Meds have to be sent to the Medical Officeer of the Commonwealth [of Australia] for an opinion about whether or not the applicat meets the medical criteria for migration. If Box A is ticked, I would imagine that a random sample of Box A Meds will still sent to the to the MOC so as to double-check the quality-management system, but it really would be a completely random sample. Apart from that possibility, when Box A is ticked the Meds do not have to be sent to the MOC. The LCU staff simply note on the database that the meds have been processed. Cheers Gill

Cheers Gill Thanks Gill, That is useful information for us too!! Had our medicals a week ago. Our panel doctor said we were all fit and healthy after medical and our x rays were clear so just bloods now. He asked us to get a quick note from GP about Pauls epilepsy saying it is well controlled and he has suggested years ago Paul comes off medication but Paul refuses to do so chance of a seizure which would result in his licence being taken from him, which would also effect his job. Also a note regarding an anaphylactic shock I had in September this year. Just again to say it was the first I have ever had and I responded well to treatment and now carry an epipen. Hopefully these are not major issues, I felt quite confident in the panel doctor. Do you have any thoughts on the above???? Thanks Gill Chelle, Paul Josh (7) & George (2)
ali Posted December 8, 2007 Posted December 8, 2007 Our doctor said "I don't think there will be a proble .... but then I don't make the decisions" Ali

Good to know someone in same position as Paul and obviously it didn't cause you any problems having epilepsy. Did your panel doctor ask for a note regarding your epilepsy ifrom your GP? Cheers Chelle:)
