I just found this site after an almost daily quest for information on 136 visa processing times..

 

I'm moving to Perth to be with my girlfriend, submitted the visa at the end of September and got a reply with a case number within a few days (which is not normal from the experiences I have been reading..) but have nothing since.

 

I cant wait, I'm really marking time here now until I get to go..

Hey Janette, and thank you I'm going to be living just south of Perth, in Rockingham (cos thats where my g/f lives) - been there 3 times this year so far and it seems pretty nice - love the coastline..I can see myself spending lots of time with the sea breeze on my face

Yes, I applied under one of the IT MODL ones - I have no idea what to expect time wise really - I'm seeing lots of 6-7 month elapsed times from people here, which is still 4 months or so away, but encouraging none the less. Fingers crossed

Thanks Ali Perth looks like a very cool place - not actually made it further north than Fremantle yet in the 3 times I've been this year, but I wasnt going for sightseeing, just to spend with with my girlfriend

oooh thanks!! thats even more encouraging looks like 4-6 months is more the norm. I wonder if applications post the September rule change will be different... ah well, we'll see

I love Freo and the markets (hubby not too keen on the latter but loves Freo). We're a only 20 mins away in Leeming. Hope the move happens quickly for you
