Nearly time to go!

Well Folks

Just thought I'd up date you all on whats been happening in the Sam household!

Only 3 days til we leave.

Dogs went yesterday to shippers and fly on Sat. They passed their blood tests fine (kept the Lepto out of their vaccinations this year) but there was a little trouble with the micro-chip numbers, the vet who did them registered the wrong dog to the wrong number:arghh: so we had to apply for new import permits (another £40). A lesson to be learned, dont take more than one dog at a time to be chipped & make sure the vet scans the chip when he takes the blood tests as it could have seriously delayed their move.

As I mentioned before Crown came last week and took our stuff, it didnt all fit in so they're coming back tomorrow for the rest, good job too as both kids have had loads of leaving pressies to add to it!

Youngest (Kieran 11) had a party on Sat, I made a lovely Oz cake and when I find out how to attach a photo I'll show you all!

I also got all the kids to fill out blank post cards and tried to take as many photos of each kid with Kieran and he's put them all in a photo album matching the cards with the photos.

One little girl from his swimming club bought an autograph book and took it around the swim club getting everyone to sign it for him, he's now got some really lovely messages in it.

Daughter (Cody 16) had her party last night at a local pub with a disco, I havent got the all the gory details yet as I didnt go, too many drunk teenagers for my liking (also didnt want to see her getting upset) but OH went down around 10ish and stayed til they were all kicked out at 1.30 when I went and picked them all up. She was quite happy although had had a few tears as she had mascara all down her face:shocked:.

Eldest (Josh 18) is staying here to finish A-Levels so I think the hardest goodbyes are still to come:cry:. But, although we leave on Sunday we aren't going straight to Oz, were going to America for Christmas and he's joing us for that on the 20th, he also has a ticket to Sydney booked for Easter so hopefully it wont be too bad.

Talking of Sydney, we still dont have anywhere to stay yet:shocked:, just dont have the time to look, Dave, we'll be kipping in your garden at this rate!

Our house sold then fell through then the buyers re-sold theirs at a lower price so wanted us to reduce ours but OH said NO (they had p****d us about a bit and we had already dropped it 10k) I was panicking, after all we hardly had buyers coming out of our ears did we? Anyhow they 'have spoke to their financial advisor and can actually afford it after all' (surprise surprise), so its now all back on and hopefully will go through quick as everything has already been done.

Well I think I've rabbited enough for one morning, Good Luck to everyone still waiting and a very MERRY CHRISTMAS to you all.

Will be back here in the new year (not sure how much internet access I'll have over the next few weeks) when we've arrived (4th Jan).

Speak soon

Luv Sam xx

And there we were just talking about you guys the other day!

We hope the move goes as smoothly as ours - have a fab time in the states over Christmas and try not to leave it too long before you get yourselves back online.

Take care Sam, Chris and family - we look forward to a meetup in Sydney at some point soon - we've never been there! And you know you'll be welcome down our way as well.

Love Felicity and Michael:wubclub:
