  6. Hi all, After a bad start to our SS nomination request (OUR FAULT!) we got our SS today with Victoria. We lodged our application on the 6 August 09', had also lodged with WA, and Victoria responded with an e-mail saying we only consider applicants who are committed to them and them alone. Panic, as Victoria was our first choice... We had to send a new commitment letter to them and a copy of our withdrawal letter to WA. Then we got, what felt like daily e-mails requesting proof direct from WA, a couple of docs. we had already sent (uploading these documents originally did not run smoothly though so we understood why) and we responded within 24 hours to each request. So all in all it has taken 14 DAYS from 6th August to 20 August. Now we need to sell our house, our first viewer coming today at 2pm, fingers, toes and anything else crossed PLEASE.You never know they may just want our house. Thanks to all who have helped and we will be back for some more advice sooooooon. Ley x

  12. Hi Folks, Sent an email to my agent last night with some questions for her, she responded by the morning with the answers and saying that she'll give vetassess a chase up regarding my practical result. I then checked the tradeassess site and the final assessment status is now showing successful !!! No email from Tradeassess/Vetassess or my agent to confirm yet but it's good enough for me:biggrin: Gonna have a few days stress free now before launching into the next load of forms next week. All the best to those awaiting results still. Regards Martin

    TRA Passed Yipee!!!!!

We have been waiting for 2 months but finally heard yesterday that hubby has passed TRA as a painter and decorator. Now all he has to do is sit the IELTS test and we are then finally ready to apply for our visa. When I first enquired with an agent in March of this year I was told that we would not qualify for any visas as hubby had no quals, with the help of this site and Alan Collette from Go Matilda I found out that hubby could gain a qualification and now our dream is another step closer to becoming a reality. To all those out there who are struggling with all the hurdle posts, please do not give up, if you want it enough and are prepared to put a bit of work in you can do it too. Good luck to all of you Jules :spinny:
  14. Cant believe it. We are so relieved we have actually sold the house.:jiggy: We moved out yesterday and have had a call from solicitors to say the sale is complete and keys have been handed to buyers. In all, it only took 5 weeks to complete and we stalled it a week because of penalities with our mortgage company. We are just awaiting the cheque for our little profit. Its not has much as we would of liked but we dont care anymore. Its only money. We are just glad we have managed to sell. :jiggy: Good luck to everyone waiting to sell, it shows there are people buying. I would advice though, if you can reduce your price, then do it. Thanks Jill xxx
  15. Hi all, At last my 2 dogs are finally on their way here, they left heathrow at 7.30am this morning our time (8.30pm uk time) I am mixed in feelings today, i cannot stop thinking of them stuck in their cargo carriers on the plane in the dark probably scared stiff about what is happening to them. I feel so guilty about what i am putting them through. Also a post on the poms in oz web site keeps playing on my mind ( someones dog died in quarantine not so long ago in sydney) I havent seen them since 14th December when we left them with my parents to look after until they had been sorted and had a spot in the quarantine station in spotswood. Will they know who i am?? will they hate me for doing this to them?? Why do i feel so cruel in bringing them here? Has anyone else that has brought over dogs felt like this? I can't wait to get a phone call tomorrow morning to say they have arrived and are fit and well and i am desperate to check for my self that they are ok and see them in the quarantine centre in spotswood. What is the quarantine station like?? is it a good idea to visit them? Gail

    Yipee!!!

I got it! The magic email! They're letting me in at last. It's taken nearly two years with a big medical delay but only 11 days after the assurer was sorted I got the go ahead. I am chuffed, chuffed chuffed! Not sure what to do now though! Bank, pension, house, job, movers etc, etc. Is there a book? (only half joking!) Rebecca
  23. Just got e-mail off our Agent with a reciept from Adelaide for our Application Small steps but we're getting there! The gossip is, "As at March 2006 the Adelaide skilled Processing Centre is assessing applications lodged on or before the following dates; Priority App. offshore paper based 18-29 Dec 05 Non priority 14-30 Sept 05 SIR (paper) 28 Feb 06 SIR e-lodged (online) 5th April 06" They might fly through the Christmas/New Year ones, surely not that many people put in applications during the holiday?????????
