    Wisdom Teeth

:unsure:Hi has anyone had their wisdom teeth out? My dentist has been saying for years I need mine out, but up until now they haven't bothered me. I am terrified to go and get it done, she said I could be sedated but I don't want that either. I only have two at the top but they keep growing because they have no bite. anyone had it done, if so how was it? Toria
  6. Hello everyone, If stage 10 = me basking in the Brisbane sun, ice cold beer in one hand and 7 iron in the other hand, with my VISA granted, apartment sorted and all of the loose ends in the UK tied up. And if stage 1 = me planning and preparing to achieve stage 10. Currently I am at stage 1!! My post is to ask the members of PIO for any pearls of wisdom that you wish you'd have had when you were at stage 1. Anything that might have saved you time / money / stress! :jiggy: All pearls, big and small are greatly received. Thanks!

    Words of wisdom, please

We've been planning to move to Oz since Sept this year. I'm originally from South Africa and new 100% that I didn't want to 'grow old' there. I travelled/worked a bit until I met (and married) hubby over here. I've become unsure whether to go to Oz now or not. It's extremely costly and neither of us has actually been there (and can't afford to check it out first). We feel the pressure to decide soon as we've got an agent on the payroll at the moment and we've paid for the TRA. We have a house to sell in this horrible housing climate and 3 kids. Everything seems to cost a lot (living and moving costs etc.). My family have moved over here from South Africa and hubby is close to his family and hasn't ever had to leave them the way I've left mine before. How great is it really in Oz? How do you make the decision? I should know because I've done a big move years ago, but I was on my own then. Not so easy when you have others to consider!
  8. I took the kids to see my niece and nephew today. My son (8) and nephew (5) were chatting about Oz... Son:" Oz has just ONE big beach, not lots of little ones" (He was actually refering to breakwaters / groynes that seperate beach areas!!) Nephew: WOW how big is it then? Son: Oh you know, it goes right round Australia!!:biglaugh: And then follows on with.... Son: And they have sandy beaches for great sandcastles. Nephew: Oh thats so cool, ya can't do that here cos you have to pick all the stones off the beach first. Mum can we go to Australia with Aunty Gill...she can build great sandcastles!:biglaugh: So there you have it. What better reason do you need to go out there....It has ONE huge beach all the way round and you can build great sandcastles on it!! :biglaugh:
