Adelaide capital of South Australia is a vibrant city situated between rolling hills and sandy beaches. A temperate Mediterranean climate means it is perfect if you love the great outdoors with fishing, sailing and hiking all on your doorstep. However if you prefer the city life there are bars, restaurants, theatres and of course Adelaide's many festivals for you to enjoy. All this and it's affordable housing, excellent schools and safe streets mean it's a winner for families and single people alike. Due to an increase in workload our client, a popular electrical company is looking for two skilled white goods technicians to join their team. To be successful you must be enthusiastic, fully qualified with up to date knowledge in servicing white goods, particularly domestic fridge freezers, washing machines and driers as well as other small electrical devices. The company you will be joining is already an approved sponsoring company so they can confidently offer you 457 visa nomination and support. Coming to Adelaide you will have the full support of the company as well as Southern Cross Personnel; we are a team made up of UK expats so are in a great position to help make your relocation as smooth as possible. So if you are ready to make the move and want to drive your career forward in lovely Adelaide please PM Jan.

I just want everyone's thoughts on the following choices: 1. Bosch for washing machine. 2. Electrolux for refrigerator. To elaborate, I am moving into my own apartment in Sydney. What's a good store (in terms of cheap prices) where I can buy these from? Also, where can I get the best deals for bedroom furniture, sofas, Television table? I am looking for something that is nice and presentable and moderately priced (not too posh and not too cheap). Whats a good store where I can buy these from? Many thanks for all your help.

Hello everyone, I'm new to the forum, even though it is only 4 months till we move!! Bit scary as I haven't been able to organise anything yet due to an operation. However, I'm on it now!! I just wanted to ask all you knowledgable people about taking electrical items over with you.... - I see from a few posts that most people seem to take electricals/white goods with them. My husband is not so keen as he doesn't like the idea of using adapter plugs for everything - in that it might be unsafe to do this on a big scale. I'm clueless about this kind of thing....can you just change the plug to an aussie style one? Thanks so much in advance for any advice. Sx:err:

Hi there, We're a UK family of 5 relocating to Sydney in June 2011. As we're not shipping over any of our furniture or white goods we'll need stuff such as beds (one double, 2 singles and a cot), sofas, dining table and chairs, patio set, bbq, washing machine, kettle, toaster etc.... If anyone's selling or getting rid of them around June time I'd really appreciate you letting me know. Alternatively if anyone knows where I can get this type of stuff cheaply could you also advise. Oooh need a car too! Thanks so much for looking Lynne
