Hi my family and I are hoping to return to Australia in the New Year, but we are in a dilemma do we go to Perth or Sydney. My hubby is a Fibre Optic Telecomms Engineer and we have a six year old daughter what would be the best option. We spent two years living in Queensland and although it was a great place the work was very thin on the ground. Help us make a decision. !!!!

hello chick, thought I might find you here. Hope things are starting to get into routine for you now its strange isn't it when you first get here and there's so much to see and suss out. Well we had a proper aussie style weekend and met up with all our friends by the local lake and the kids played in the park and the adults all sat around cooking bbq and chatting. It was lovely and guess who managed to get burnt, yep, the british ones!!!! Can't believe we've been here over a year now the time has flown by and we are still loving it and feel really settled now. Think the first year is the most stressful as there's always some decision to be made about something or other and then it all calms down and its all back to normal and a chilled out lifestyle. Go back to the UK mmmmmmmm nope not us that's for sure, just hope we manage to get that permanent visa now that they are threatening to reduce the numbers of migrants. Sarah & Adey
