  1. Time to get away from the daily grind and hit the back roads? · Drive in / drive out staff role from Kalgoorlie - with housing / accommodation assistance · Play a big part in a high-performing, friendly team. Develop yourself faster · Make a difference to the lives of local communities and future generations If there’s one thing WA has in abundance, it’s breathtaking scenery. Kilometres of red and green. Every so often, broken up by remote, friendly communities. If you’re one of those people who gets jittery staying in one place for too long, you might want to consider climbing into a vehicle and exploring new landscapes. Places like WiIluna, Laverton, Leonora and Menzies. Populations who rely on their water and wastewater assets working. If you’ve kept water / wastewater services in good shape before – as a plumber or water plant operator - you’ll know how to support them. 6. From midnight tonight anyone living in SE Qld can 'go for it'.
  7. Just heard a 32 year old American man has been killed off Rottnest Island, my thought go out to his family and friends. It comes just 12 days after a man was killed swimming off Cottesloe beach in a suspected shark attack. My son is now saying when we get there, he wont swim in the sea, has anybody living there changed their bathing habit in light of this?
  8. Hi all, My husband and I are hoping to sell a two bedroom cottage we bought a few years back. It's on an island called Karragarra, which is near Brisbane (just over an hour, including drive and ferry) The cottage has two bedrooms and has been recently renovated - polished floorboards, open log fire and a large deck looking out at amazing water views. It's also only five minutes walk from Karra's sandy beach, BBQ facilities, roped off swimming area, ferry facilities and so on. Small and close community. Demand is pretty slow in the 'holiday cottage' market at the moment, so we're looking at finding buyers who want a gorgeous, beach side lifestyle near Brisbane for a bargain price - maybe people looking to retire near family, etc. Perfect for fishing, keeping a boat, kayaking or just lounging on the beach. Asking 300,000 ONO.

  20. Hi Folks, I'm trying to figure out where to start in arranging our services at our new rental. In the UK, the previous tenant/owner is usually asked to name the suppliers for the new tenant to contact them, and decide whether to continue with them, or choose another. We've moved into our rental in Sydney, and so far, everything is switched on/running, but we're not sure by/with who as a supplier. We're not sure who we should contact to get this moving. We did notice on every agency application form there was an offer to pass our details to a 'one-stop-shop' who would set up our services. However, I viewed this with suspicion - it sounded like a way to sell overpriced affiliated services to us - and left it blank in doubt. However, having now found how well-defined NSW rental legislation is, I'm wondering if actually it was a reasonable thing to sign up to. Can anyone advise what the usual procedure is? Many thanks! Damian

  25. Hi, We are wanting to emigrate to Australia preferably Perth. However, we want to ask if we are not being too rude, what monthly expenses are we looking at. We spend average £80-90 on a family of 5 for food, 40 on gas and elec each in the summer roughly. Council tax £110.00. We want to have enough for 3 months to allow time for my husband to find a job. How much is fuel? I have heard it is cheaper.
