  1. Hi, Can anyone help us please. We are moving to Melbourne in Sept this year and have narrowed it down to a few areas; Berwick, Narre Warren South, Lynbrook, Endeavour Hills. Our kids are primary school age still but we are trying to think about Secondary Schools for when the time comes in 3-4 years. Can anyone shed any light on the situation with secondary schools in these areas? Any good ones to recommend, or avoid? Also, where does Lynbrook Primary feed into? Many thanks, Sam
  2. Hello all ......you'll probably think i'm mad but here goes..... Is there anyone out there in the eastern suberbs of Melbourne who would like the chance of a natter and a coffee, whilst holding a Tupperware party?? I'm trying to start my "career" as a Tupperware consultant but as i'm new to Berwick, don't know that many people to branch out to! The product is great, the Ozzies love it, and its a chance to have a bit of a laugh, all the host needs to do is "host" it and they might even get a fab free gift! I'm not really mad, just trying to fit in around the kids, i can do daytime or evening parties, the choice is yours!!! Hope to hear from anyone whos interested, send me a message or just reply to this thread! Thanks in advance Emma xxx

    45kg Scrotum Wesley Warren

Poor guy, hope he manages to raise his money:elvis: A LAS Vegas man with a medical condition that has caused his scrotum to swell to more than 45kg is trying to raise $US1 million for surgery to correct it. Wesley Warren Jr, went public about his condition - scrotal elephantiasis - because he is desperate to try and raise the cash for the costly operation. Mr Warren's scrotum is so large that he has trouble walking and using the bathroom. "It's not easy to get around," he told the Las Vegas Review-Journal, "It makes me stay in most of the time." The 47-year-old, who developed the rare condition three years ago, said he has regular bouts of depression. "I want to have real friends and a relationship with a woman," he told the paper. "But I'm not suicidal. I'm too strong for that." Although he knew some people would laugh at his condition, Mr Warren decided to go on Howard Stern's radio and cable TV show to raise awareness of his plight. "I don't like being a freak, who would?" he said. "But I figured that the Stern show is listened to by millions of people and they might want to help me. I hope some millionaire or billionaire will want to help me." His condition is rarely seen outside of the tropical areas of Africa and Asia and is usually caused by a mosquito-spread parasitic infection. But Mr Warren said he had never travelled to tropical areas and believes the condition is down to an accident in 2008, when he caught his testicles with his leg while twisting in bed. The next day Mr Warren said his scrotum had grown to "the size of a soccer ball" and continued growing.

  5. Hi, We are moving to the Hallam/Narre Warren/Berwick area in a couple of weeks. I have a 3 year old son and a daughter who turns 5 in January. Can anyone advise on whether or not they can go to kindy/what age they start etc, and also how much they cost? I am unsure as to whether I will be entitled to any funding on a 457 visa or not?? Any advice on the good kindys/schools would be gratefully received! Thanks :wubclub:
  6. Hi, I'm new to this and not quite sure what I'm doing!! Hoping to meet other single parents and make new friends that understand the highs and lows of doing this parenting thing by yourself!! Cheers!
  7. Two schools today are under the threat of not opening next year, in fact it has already been said that Casey College in Narre Warren will not open next year and with Melton College in Caroline Springs they are hoping that another company will purchase them and open this as a catholic school. Casey it could be 2012 if it does open again. What a nightmare for students involved.
