    Wangaratta Victorian Town

Wangaratta is a largish town on the Hume Highway. The town centre has all the usual shops and services needed to keep our modern life flowing along. A lot of small business, good housing and its on the Ovens River. Its close enough to Yarrawonga for anyone who likes boating on the lake or fishing. Lots of government type jobs. Has a hospital so medical people. Plenty of schools private and State. Close to the snow fields for skiing in the winter and hiking in the summer. Its on the main train line from Sydney to Melbourne. We were in WAng yesterday and its a bustling place. Acreage on the fringe for sale and lovely houses being built there. The trees are deciduous lining the streets and all changed colour and dropping their leaves now. Good points of living in a country town is the commute to work is great and parking is never a problem.
