    Good walking trails

Anyone know any good trails near me (cranbourne) i've promised the lad i'd take him bushwalking this week, nothing too strenuous though.
  2. 15 minute walk but some of the guys have been there since 10pm - KO at midnight. Thought about taking my car so I won't have a beer - not wanting to repeat last night - but it's lazy to get it out of the garage to drive 2km. Oh well, I guess all around OZ other guys (and a few girls) are going out (or staying in) to watch their games - Man U on at 2.30am the only uncivilized time. Seem to recall a lady going to Perth worrying about her hubbie having to go 'cold turkey' and give up his footie? Well, no probs as far as EPL & SPL go and sports bars are everywhere. Recommend he gets into Aussie sports too plus the A League.

    Any Walkers out there...?

Hi fellow PIO'ers My Dad's coming over for a visit & he's an avid walker in the UK - finding old/obscure footpaths on his OS maps that may not have been used in donkeys & generally exploring. He's freaking me out (deadly snakes, spiders etc) by wanting to do the same when he comes over here & I was wondering if any of you know anywhere I can go to look for walking tracks that are preferably off the beaten track? We're based south of Wollongong, NSW near Shellharbour Village but would be interested in walks in the Southern Highlands, further south & north - the whole of the Illawarra really. Thanks in advance for any tips Rach

    Dog walking in Quarantine

We have recently moved to the Gold Coast and had to put our dog Morris into Quaranteen in Sydney. We assumed that he would be exercised as part of the cost . However one week in and we recieved a phone call to say Morris wasn't eating and informed that a dog walker could buy tinned food and give it to Quaranteen. We were given a phone number and after a call organised a dog walker to take chum to Morris and walk him for 30 mins a day. All this cost $220 but if Morris had eaten his dry dog food supplied by Quaranteen he wouldn't have been walked for over 4 weeks:cry: The dog walker was Darleene Email danddprice@yahoo.com.au She charges per 15 mins and kept sending us reports and photos of Morris which cheered us up no end.

    Went bush walking today

I went and walked the mount ngungun trail to its summit today, definately burnt a few calories lol I'd highly recomend this trail to anyone in the area!! the second half of it is hard going though, you need to use your hands to literally rock climb. eTN_h_qrVDc
  12. Hi there. I am really keen to start doing lots of walking. There is a government initiative here of "Pram Walking" (I found it on the gov website). Great for fitness and getting into the outdoors. I live in Wakerley (near Manly West/Wynnum). Would anyone be interested in doing this? We could stop for a cofee at the end and perhaps take the kids to the playground on the way. I think there is also an organised one in Birkdale, and I have left the lady there a message to find out more about when/where it is. Thanks
