    Relocation agents WA

Hi all, I'm moving to Perth on a 491 in early/mid Sept. Currently have an expensive AirBnB booked for the first few weeks but would rather have a rental sorted before getting there and am looking into relocation agents in WA. I (foolishly) hadn't really budgeted for this and have been quite surprised by the high price tag some companies come with. This in mind, I can't really afford to pick a company that won't be able to give what I'm after (1-2 bed place, with utilises and internet set up for arrival). I have heard mixed experiences about Claymore Thistle and am considering them. Any experiences (good and bad) with any companies would be much appreciated. I'm currently in a WhatsApp group with many others who are making their way to Perth/WA and finding a rental seems to be quite stressful at the moment. Cheers!
  2. My wife and I are two teachers who started the AITSL process and TOEFL process back in September. My wife's AITSL has come through as passed (she's the main applicant as shes been teaching for 15 years) and has also completed the TOEFL English test. My AITSL wanted further info which I have now provided and I should hear from them in early April/late March. My question is we were thinking of applying on the 491 and really want to head to WA to teach, however I'm now hearing we cant do this now? Please can someone confirm and if true what other options do we have?
  3. Hi guys It has been about 13 months since I lodged my visa as a cook. I’ve got requested for medical checkup 2 days ago, but my colleague who lodged visa before me has his nomination rejected 4 days ago. I thought my nomination will be rejected as well but I got requested for medical so I got really confused. Do you think my nomination is safe or not? When CO is assigned? Do you think the person who send me the “s56 request for more information” is my CO? When CO is assigned, can I tell my nomination is passed? I thought they only request further information when the nomination is cleared. My immiaccount says the status is still “recieved” . No “initial assessment” or “further assessment”. I’m really worried that my nomination will be rejected after paying $hundreds for medical check. Is it possible for my nomination to be clear when the other nomination is recently rejected at the same workplace? Give me some thoughts please! Cheers
  4. Hi all, This is a very specific ask and I am not sure if I have put it in the right forum, but here goes. I have my 189 visa and I am moving to Perth. I am a teacher. To teach in WA I need to apply to the Teacher Registration Board of Western Australia (TRBWA). I have done that from the UK. But. And this is the big but where I am drawing blanks- I need an Australian citizen to certify my documents who is registered to work in their profession in Aus from the list of occupations on this document: I live in the NE of the UK. If I go to the embassy in London they charge £41 per document!!! I need about 10 docs certifying! Which is unaffordable and unrealistic. I can’t wait until I am in Aus as there is a time limit, and I will not be there within the time limit. So I am reaching out to the community to see if anyone has contacts with an Australian citizen living in the UK who can certify some documents for me!! ??? Any info or help would be greatly appreciated! Anyone been through this? What did you do? TIA ??
  5. Okay, so I really want to move to Perth, WA. Luckily I've worked there as a Head Chef before on a holiday working VISA so I know Perth pretty well. Before I left to come home I was offered a permanent working VISA at the place I worked. Unfortunately, due to personal reasons I had to come home back to the UK. I've been back now for about 2 years and all I want to do is go back out there to enjoy a better lifestyle and bring my partner (who came with me and worked in Australia too on the holiday VISA). I don't know where to even start, I've booked myself in for the IELTS test to prove I can speak good English. But what's the next move? Just approach Australian Businesses online and hope to get a sponsor again? Or pay thousands of ££s out to some random VISA company?Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it! Rob. Also I would like to add that I have been a Chef for over 13 years now, so I have a lot of experience.
