Any advice or help is welcomed please! My partner was offered a job in Australia with a Temporary Skill Shortage (subclass 482) visa. We weren't sure if I could go on his visa so I applied for a Working Holiday visa (subclass 417). Since I applied for this, my partner's job advised us I could be placed on his 482 visa, so we added me on via the de-facto relationship pathway. This visa is longer term and has no working restrictions. I didn't realise I had to cancel my application for the 417 visa, and our 482 visa came through. 2 weeks later my 417 visa came through. I have just found out that this means my 482 visa (which was a lot more expensive and has less working restrictions/last's longer) was automatically cancelled. Has anyone experienced a similar situation? Is there anything I can do to be able to get my 482 visa back? Thank you in advance!

Hi there, Does visa refusal will affect my partner visa application when we do it sometime in this year? I've got visa refusal last year when I applied for tourist in my country philippines then 4 weeks after they refused my visa I then applied again and granted me to enter to australia, same visa as a tourist. Now my point is am I allowed to apply for partner visa now that I'm here in australia with my husband? Coz I read about the visa refusal or visa cancelled in the department of home affairs website. Need some advise on that matter.

anyone left their employer before the 2 years were up on a 187 visa and not had it cancelled ?

just wondered if anyone out there has left their employer before the 2 year period was up and not had their visa cancelled? , as im led to believe that if you do leave before the 2 year thing diac can cancel a 187 even if you have paid for it yourself ?
