  2. Hi there, I have some vegetarian friends coming over and need to find a great place to take them to eat!!! Great views would also be good if possible :embarrassed: We are meeting on a SATURDAY AFTERNOON so any recommendations would be most gratefully received. I was thinking of Barmah?? The Red Tractor on Moorooduc Hwy but not sure if they are open. We have no internet at the moment so will be back in a couple of days Thankyou x x x
  3. Quorn is coming to Australia this year. Marlow Foods emailed me and said Quorn will be here in June and Woolworths responded to advise they'll be stocking a small selection from September.

    Vegetarian In Oz

Hi all. We have moved to Oz and living in Redcliffe Qld. Life is good here. The beach is my new best friend, 1 in 10 people go barefoot and I keep saving cockroaches . The problem is I became a veggie last year because I have so much compasion for animals  and couldn't bare to have an animal die for me. I EVAN STEP OVER ANTS. I use to eat Quorn products or Lynda Mccartney food. Over here though they havn't reached Australia and i'm not too keen on tofu as it's rather bland evan with flavouring. I have found it very difficult with no quorn to use as a substitute so I have been thinking and bought a smal piece of fish to see if I could eat it. I have eaten my tea which was pasta with spicey tomatoe sause and was SO FREAKED :arghh: I couldn't eat the fish and gave it to our kitty. Is there any other veggies in Oz or evan closer that can help me with my Serious problem. My rule for food is "Nothing with a face". Many thanks for reading this... Pip.

    Vegetarian food in Australia

When I've been to Australia before I had a hard time finding vegetarian food. I know Coles and Woolworths sell some from Sanitarium but that tastes a bit like rubber and isn't that nice. Does anyone know if there are other vegetarian brands over there such as Quorn? I know Aus is big on meat but you'd think they would have some vegetarian stuff! Even some made up veggie things like veggies in sauce i found to not be vegetarian!!! If there isn't anything apart from that Sanitarium stuff does anyone know if Quorn or Linda McCartney stuff can be bought online and shipped to Aus?

    Vegetarian in Australia

Hi, I have been a Vegetarian for 18 years now & was wondering how im going to find it in Australia? To be honest, its not that good here in the Uk, so im not going to be missing much! :dull: I mostly struggle in restaurants & will often end up just having a bowl of chips or childrens meal tomato pasta! I dont mind that, but it would be lovely to have a bit more choice! I am looking forward to trying all the fresh fruit & vegetables over in Australia. Kelly :0)
