    Pacific Pines or Varsity Lake

:wideeyed: Visas issued and looking at moving January 2012. Been searching for areas and Pacific Pines and Varsity Lake take our fancy. Have a 6 year old and 3 year old so needs to be family friendly. The first couple of places that we looked at got very very bad reviews from the forums so had to change research. Any tips and advice would be greatly received please please please.x x
  3. Hi all Just recently moved to Varsity Lakes I am Jayne (38) & also Angie (31). We are going for brunch on Sunday 30th January 11ish at Lake Cafe in Varsity Lakes. We wondered if anyone else would like to meet up for a bite to eat or just a coffee and a chat. Please feel free to either reply to the thread or send me a private message. Look forward to hearing from you Jayne & Angie Ps DjBurgessuk will see you there
  4. Evening all, Well I have just driven up from Sydney with the thoughts on settling in Varsity as I am working in Burleigh Heads. Now I arrived today with huge expectations but was a little dissapointed. I know its school holidays but to me it felt like a ghost town!! I was intending on trawling the streets seeing whats on offer but can across 2 open houses so I poped in. From what I had seen on the net it looked value for money but I may have underestimated but am still hoping for things to look up. I am currently staying with a freind in Springwood till I find a house but I need to have one by next week as I start work on the 17th!! Was thinking of taking a drive to Pacific Pines tomorrow and having a look around. Does anyone have details of real estates in the specific area as I couldn't see any on the net, only in surrounding suburbs. I know you get more for your money in Pacific and since there is such a strong English presence there (so I read) I thought it would be good for my wife and son (me being aussie and all)..... If anyone could help me out that would be great, also wouldn't mind catching up with some people in the area to meet n greet and maybe some inside infor?? Thanks, Nathan & Anthea (xavier (6) and Payton (14 months).......
  5. Hi all, I am moving back home next week (I am aussie) and have been offered a job in Burleigh Heads. I will be living in Varisty lakes area and am in need of urgent childcare till my partner and other son arrive in March. I have literally rung every daycare centre in a 15km radius but they all have a 12month waiting list!! My son will be 14months and needs to be looked after for a few months till everything is sorted. I have trawlled the internet and found nothing. Does anyone know of childminders instead of a daycare? All help is thanked in advanced. Nathan

    Varsity Lakes/Robina

Hi there - does anyone live in Varsity Lakes or Robina that I could chat to about a few questions I have? Much appreciated x
  7. Has anyone got any info on either Robina High School or Varsity College. I just cannot seem to get an opinion on them. I am looking to move to Robina and send my kids to one of these schools - the annual reports look ok - but at the end of the day - its always down to local knowledge! It may look the best on paper! ANy info/pointers would be really helpful. (even the local police wouldnt comment on them - "freedom of information" etc. WHat happened to supplying community information? Hope someone can help.
  8. Hey there, We are moving from Springfield nr Brisbane to Varsity Lakes on the Gold Coast and wondered if there are any PIO members in the VL/Robina area that are around our age/have kid(s) similar age that want to meet up. Just looking to find a local friend base, no pressure. If we don't click; no worries! Just drop us a line... we're not weird! :goofy:
  9. Hi, we are breaking our lease in Varsity Lakes, 4 Bed Townhouse with double garage on a gated complex with pool, Gym and Sauna. $440 per week but willing to negotiate. In the catchment for one of the best state schools in Queensland. We have had no problems whatsoever and it's a beautiful area. Available from 1st June 2009
