    Cotton Bud Usage, Confused!

Went to the docs the other day, just a check up and the like, and as they do checked out my throat, blood pressure, and ears,. As she had finished the ear 'examination' the good doc turned to me and said, 'Do You Use Cotton Buds, As your Inner Ear Looks Soar'. Now my ears are what you could describe, well, errrrr rather stick out and in a strong breeze I often act as a weather vain for my local parish, :embarrassed::yes:. I said yes, only occasionally, well, it's either cotton buds or my car keys, and my good lady disproves of the key thing,:biglaugh::realmad:. She then went into great length to explain to me that cotton buds should NEVER be used on the ear as they can cause lot of damage. So my question is this. If cotton buds are not designed to use in your ear, WHAT THE HELL ELSE do you do with them. The only other thing I can see a use for them is to use as teeny weeny armaments in Lego fighting, but being nearly 48 I reckon this would be frowned upon by my nearest and dearest.

Time to curb your PIO usage?

It is time you do your bit for the planet! Should we be limiting the time we spend on PIO? Just think about it while you are pondering whether you should go to OZ or stay in OZ you could be helping to turn Australia into complete desert through global warming! Mobile phones - internet usage

Hi all, Ive had a search through the forums and I cant see this question asked specifically. Ive got a HTC Hero mobile (like an Iphone) and Id like to take it with me. To get the best functionality out of it you need internet access at all times as it does small updates for checking mail, facebook and twitter. Whats the coverage for data 3G/HSDPA like in Perth? We'll be living NOR in Ocean Reef hopefully. Are contracts readily available from the mobile phone carriers that allow you to bring your own handset? Do they come with reasonable monthly allowances for data? Any help would be appreciated as it will help me decide whether bring it or ditch it here in the UK and buy new when I arrive Cheers Ad
  5. While my stuff is bouncing across the high seas I intend to hop in a car and just drive for a couple of months. Along the way I would like to pick up emails using my laptop, can anyone tell me who is the best mobile provider for internet access?
