  1. Hi, just want to inquire on behalf of my sister whose planning to come here in Melbourne on a student visa. She'll be taking up a masters degree and that entitles her husband to work full time. They have a 6year old daughter and will go to a primary school. Tuition fee is bloody expensive at 8,000 per year. Just want to find out if they can get some sort of discount or refund once her partner starts working fulltime. Cheers!

    457 visa and tertiary tuition

hey, guys, I am an international applicant for dental school from america. However, I do have a 457 visa from my father's employment. Do I pay the internatinoal student rate? it would be 50k a year. I will be studying at Queensland. Thanks.
  3. I recently received my permanent residency. I am currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree at an Australian university. I know I have to pay the international student fee for this semester since I received my permanent residency only after the census date at uni. However, for next semester what fees will I have to pay? I know I am not eligible for a Commonwealth supported place as I am not a citizen yet but is there a different fee for permananent residents?... or do I still have to continue paying international student fees until the end of my course since I was not a permanent resident at the time I applied for the course? The new domestic fees will only apply to me for any new courses that I enrol in...?

    Music tuition in Brisbane

We arrived in Brisbane from Adelaide in January as I have a new job, and my daughter wanted to come to further her Music career. It has been really good for her so far as she has just joined one of Australia's leading Choirs (see link if you want to see something different!) and is receiving master classes with a former International opera singer. She now needs to make a start with her piano and vocal teaching that she was doing in Adelaide whilst at the Con there. This was much easier in Adelaide where she had a social network. Here we do not know people yet. If anybody knows of any good places to advertise that would be really helpful, or if you know of any newly arrived or exisitng friends etc. that may want a teacher that would also be great. Beginners to intermediate is fine, and she can also offer flute. Perhaps most interestingly, it is the chance to learn more than one instrument, such as voice and piano, alongside each other. Enjoy the video in the meantime - certainly not like anything you would have seen before... Seabird50.
  5. Hi, Does anyone have any information on where I could find some maths tuition for my daughter who is in Year 2. She is attending Kip McGrath's at the moment but I think she would benefit more from one on one tuition. Thanks. Dor PS. We live NOR (Mindarie)
