  1. Hi Im from the UK looking if anyone planning to go australia on working holiday visa by late 2018 or early 2019. I am in two mind to go traveling solo plan it all myself or be with travel buddy, or go with them travel group for first couple of weeks, i am hoping start regional work first so i could be eligible for 2nd WHV and give me more time to travel spend time there. Have couple of question too. 1. where would be best season to go to find regional work, as i seen on many forums from nov to jan busy period, where everyone looking for work also most expensive time for getting flights which i am trying not to go for. 2. Where would you recommend i should start off first, i was thinking to do western australia to do work. 3. Banking as i will be transferring money before go out there. as well back and forwards to uk while in australia which bank would anyone recommend so i not paying fortune on transaction fee on exchange rate. i have seen HSBC which i could open in Australia not pay any fees while transferring money back and forwards to uk will need to double check this. Any tip or recommendation will be greatly appreciated. Thanks

  3. Hi guys! Im Lauren, a 19 year old British girl and I am landing in Sydney around this time next month! I've been to australia twice - Last year for two months & in April for a month (both just holidays) and I have decided to do the big move. I have a WHV 417 and plan to do work to qualify for my second year.. Im staying with a friend in Sydney and therefore due to this, I am worried that I will miss out on meeting other travellers in Hostels/events etc and i dont want this to happen. Im looking for travel buddies & general friends to meet & go to events with so that I can meet other travellers and I am more than interested in travelling on different road trips (last year i did a 10 day drive from sydney - Darwin) I have a little knowledge on sydney from being twice so might be able to help with any questions newbies have too Hopefully some people will be in the same position as me and looking for chats/friends too! I have facebook, so please add me on there to chat more and hopefully we can create a group of brits all in the same position to make it all a little easier and less nerve racking! https://www.facebook.com/lauren.wesbury1

  5. Hello, I am planning on making a trip to Sydney mid February 2014, stay there for a week and then fly to Brisbane and travel up the East Coast to Cairns via Oz Experience package. I want to spend 4-6 weeks in Australia and looking to see if there is anyone else in a similar situation travelling on their own around this time? Rather than arrive on my own and book myself into a hostel, I have been tempted to get involved in a week long tour which includes accommodation (this will be my first time travelling alone so seems like a friendly option!). If I was to make friends before I head out and arrange to meet someone/people there when I arrive and plan things together that would be a better option. I'm easy going, friendly, bubbly and up for getting involved in lots of different activities and sights
  6. Hi all, This is my first post here. Anyway, my WHV has been granted and I'm looking to head out to Melbourne or Sydney at the start of June (I haven't decided where to go yet), so all I need to do is book my flight. Does anyone have any recommendations of where the best place to start off is? Im also going to heading out by myself so is there anyone heading out at the same time who is looking for a travel buddy? Cheers, Stu.
