When does the clock start ticking?

Hi All Just been thinking.... does the time start ticking from the date the cat has the blood test or from the date you get the results? I have been thinking it's the date the blood is taken but now worried that I have been wrong to think this which will mean 3 weeks longer in quarrantine :-(

    176 Ticking Down

Hi All, My husband is a Floor Finisher we have a 176, we have spent about 4 months in Oz but are now back home, our 5 year limit is ticking by. Does anyone know what the specifics on filling the 2 year state sponsorship are, do you have to complete the two years in one go or can you spread it out doing a few months at a time? or can my husband as the main applicant complete this time without me or the children in oz with him? Any help would be greatly appreciated Thanks Carpetsmans Wife

    clocks ticking!!!!!!

hi guys, wondered if anyone else has been told this? i am meant to be going through state sponsorship but have had a disturbing email from my agent today, she says that time is running out for lodging my application before the changes, I am currently waiitng on my TRA lodged (24th feb) i didnt think it would take that long and she originally said we would get it in in time, do i have to also have passed the vetassess before it can be lodged is that the problem??? also she has said maybe we should think about sponsorship by my brother-in-law who lives out there, how long would this pathway take as im very eager to get out there as all you who want to go can understand!!! thanks in advance phil
  4. Hi all! I'm in a tricky situation and it seems as I have no solution but to go back to the UK I've been in Oz for 3 years with my partner - she as a trainee hairdresser and me as de facto. The papers we lodged for permanent residency in January of this year. Here's the bad bit... our relationship has fallen apart - has been rough for a while. Without the details - she and I have both met other people over the last 6 months and now she is about to remove me from her application, leaving me with 28 days to depart. I don't have the correct points or correct skilled occupation. I cannot apply for a study visa as my bridging visa A which i am currently on has "special conditions" attached which means I have to make an off-shore application as the bridging visa is not a substantive visa. I am set to get married in 15 days to my new partner who also has a young son - I really don't want to leave them for 3-6 months... How long is the spouse visa currently taking to process at the moment? Does anyone have any ideas as my time is ticking away Thanks for reading - have a great day! Steve
  5. Hi all I have been out in Oz for almost 2 years now (on the working holiday visa). It is due to run out in approx 5 weeks time. I really really want to stay. I don't have any skills that will keep me here (just being me doesn't count as a skill apparently ) Now I have been dating an ozzie guy for approx 12 months, however we have never lived together or had accounts together etc so I know this rules out the de-facto visa. I spoke to immigration and they have suggested that although the time frame is tight the marriage visa would be the way forward. My boyfriend is well up for this. Does anyone have any advice on this or any other suggestions? Thank you xxx Laura

    The clock is ticking

Afternoon All I am a Financial Advisor and arrived in Perth in November, throwing in a perfectly good job in the UK and taking the risk that I could secure a 457 with an employer. In the UK I studied for the PS146 which I obtained. I am currently living with family in the Northern suburbs. I have quickly learnt that having no working rights means nobody wants to even talk to me. I have another three months to secure a job, otherwise I am out of here. The recent downturn has not helped at all and I find myself quickly running out of options. If anybody on here can help, or knows anyone who might be able to assist me, you just do not know how grateful I'll be. It is all about contacts out here, I have learnt that much. Gregg
