So me and my boyfriend moved to Queensland from the uk about a year ago maybe less. It’s probably just because we chose Queensland and not nsw or vic but we are very excited to get back to the uk after how disappointing it has been here. We were so excited to visit this country that is spoken about like it’s so wonderful but we Just seen to have no liked it. We visisted Sydney and Byron bay we have seen Australia zoo and lone pine, visited Brisbane city and all the Gold Coast theme parks and my favourite eat street. But unfortunately they all cost a great deal of money and take a very long time to get to. Is there anywhere else people would suggest going before we move back preferably on the cheaper side of things. Thanks
Kirsty Marie posted a topic in TravelMy partner and myself will be arriving in Melbourne at the end of September and we are planning on spending a few weeks relaxing before we begin looking for work. I have NEVER been abroad before and so I am quite anxious! Suggestions on things to do when we arrive? Would love to attend some music events..
Hi there. It's less than a month to go, before we leave the UK - excited! Were doing a stopover in Singapore, staying on Sentosa Island for 4 nights/5 days. We have three children, 13, 5 and 10 month. I would love to hear what activities people think are worth a visit? Places to eat? etc Also what weather to expect? I have a weather app on my phone and Singapore has been thundery showers for the last fortnight - do we take raincoats and umbrellas instead of bikinis and shorts!? Thanks
Hi all, I've been lucky enough to get a role out in Sydney starting in January, and whilst it's a bit early to be planning in detail, I was wondering about which areas to look at for renting. I'll be working within half a mile of harbour bridge, so ideally I'd like to be living in the city, or at least somewhere that's easy to get into the centre. I'll be looking to get a 1 or 2 bed place with my other half and our combined income should let us spend up around the $700 pw mark. Any recommendations on areas? The other thing I'm keen to start looking at is things to do in Sydney, preferably outside the 'top 10' lists you can find on the internet. Cheers in advance guys, G
