We are now traveling in Australia in a Toyota Camry CSI Stationwagon with a Exo tent (30 sec. tent, big!) for 8 months. End of April we are arriving in Sydney and want to sell our camping gear included the car, because we are flying out. Are you planning to go around Australia for a couple of months? Camping is the best way & cheapest way to see the country! Any interest: let me know by mailing me. I can send you pictures as well. Have fun with organising your trip!

Ok I know that Australia are hot on things like dirt etc ... We have a *really* nice tent. We love camping. Ideally, we want to take it - but it HAS been well used, the underside - while it's been cleaned/pressure washed etc - is far from perfect. The pegs, poles etc have also been cleaned, but no doubt there's dirt up inside the poles we can't get to etc... Worth it or should we just give up and sell it before we go?

Hi, I'm in Australia and looking to buy a tent. We had a Khyam Quick erect tent in the UK but couldn't bring it over with us. They don't seem to sell Khyam's in Australia. Has anyone bought a tent in the UK and sent it over to UK? I was wandering if the UK tents are no good in Australia as they don't offer enough UV Protection? Is there a difference or are UK tents ok? Thanks, Mike.

Hi We are in the process of sorting out our things and after many years of camping (stopped going because of the rain!!!!) have got our tent out to see what it is like as we were selling it because we thought that we could buy a caravan when we get there but seem $$$$$ Now it is up and today is lovely with not a cloud in the sky, we are thinking that we should bring it with us. Its a large frame tent and has only been used for 3 weekend trips and in perfect condition( cost £600 but would only get maybe £150 if lucky) I know camping is a big thing in Oz but how safe is it - it doesnt have a fitted ground sheet but fitted/enclosed beds. What do you think??? Mandy
