Hi I moved to Sydney about a month ago with my partner and we're all settled with a house in Caringbah. Unfortunately my job hunt is taking a bit longer than I'd hoped so it'd be good to meet some people- there's only so much Australian daytime TV I can cope with! My Husband and I are moving to Sydney with our daughter and 2 dogs 1st week in Sept. We need a house due to the dogs,(small westie and springer spaniel) would like it fully furnished for approx 12 weeks whilst we sort out a school and wait for household shipping to arrive. We need the Sutherland shire area, preferably Miranda, Sutherland or Kirrawee. Any ideas? All advice gratefully appreciated:biggrin:

hi there! I have been offered a job at the Sutherland hospital, we had not offically been looking at Sydney, but I am thinking about taking the job Now the problem, I know nothing about the area, could anyone give me some advice about the surburbs, rentals etc. We hope to find somewhere for $350 per week. Any advice would be much appreciated about housing transport or anything about the area to help us make a decision Thanks TT xx

My partner Kim and I have found full time work in Sydney and have been flitting between friends house's, north and south for a couple of months. Before that we were living with Kim's parents in Melbourne. We are now desparate to locate a three or four bed house, with garden, in Sutherland Shire district and have full bond and a couple of months rent available upfront. Happy to pay up to c.$600 or $650 pw for the right property We have a well dehaved dog also (she can live outdoors, that's the dog, not Kim), but no kids. Seeking decent accommodation and hoping to move in quickly. Can anyone suggest anything other than the norm, i.e. the usual real estate agents ? Or do you know of someone that is looking to exit a lease that we can take over ? Or has a spare house or two and wants to rent one out ? lol Also, can anyone recommend any short term stays aside from rental in that area, just as a very short term measure ? many thanks !!!! We're moving to Sydney in Nov 2009. I'd like to know what are the reputable primary school in Sutherland especially in terms of academic. Is it true that in public schools, there are a lot of bullying? I've read in most Catholic schools they have anti-bullying policy but what about the public schools?
