hi all, iam visiting family in perth at xmas. however, after reading the visa documents i received from my case officer it suggests that my visa will be stamped electronically at the airport. is this correct? or do i have to send them to get stamped by staff at immigration office in london? any help very much appreciated. thanks,

But, the visa has my name cut off? Like say Jane Not Doe, and it has Jane Not D on it?. Is it due to the surname? But I'm chinese and my surname is at the front  Okay, I'm just scaring myself!

Hi, I have a couple of twited qustions . First of all how much time do I have to get the visa stamped on my passport, once I get the visa grant from DIAC? Secondly Can I get the visa stamped from any country which has an Australian consulate or do I have to get it stamped from the home country, from where I applied PR? The reason I am asking these questions is that the country I am working in now (Angola), does not have an Australian Consulate/embassy. Suppose I get the visa grant in March this year then how much time do I have to get it stamped on my passport? I may go to Hungary for a month in April (I have Residence visa of Hungary also) can I get my visa stamped on my passport from there? or Do I have to go back to Pakistan to get it stamped (Pakistan being my home country & the country from where I originated the OZ PR process). Will be grateful for the enlightening comments of the forum members. Regards, Ezy

hello,my partner recieved his offshore spouse visa yesterday, very happy about it.I have one question though. He is currently in seoul with me at the moment,he needs to have his passport stamped with the visa label. My question is can he get it stamped at the australian embassy here in seoul,or does he have to fly back to the uk,to have it stamped. He would perfer to do it here in seoul,as the airfares to fly back to uk are quiet exspensive at the moment. Hope someone can help me with my question, thanks for your time .............

Hi For all of you that have already vailidated you visas please be aware that you will not be entitled to the double baggaGe allowance when you emigrate. This allowance is only available for passengers with an unstamped visa. However if you contact the airline you are flying with and explain your situation (like we did) they should give you extra baggage allowance. We managed to get an extra 5 kilo each for the 4 of us. Ive been told by my employment agent that i can go to the Aus embassy in London and have the 457 visa stamped in the passports before we go. Rather than getting it done on arrival. Is this right?, if so how do i do it? Thanks Kelly

Once you have your visa do you have to go to the embassy to get it stamped? The reason why I ask is that I have heard that you do, but then have also heard that you get it stamped upon arrival in Australia. M.

I am moving out next week and I'm sure that nothing has to be done to my visa or passport before hand, don't I just go to an office overthere and get it sorted then? I don't want to fly into the country and then someone tell me I should have had something stamped or labelled here first, is that right? Head is spinning with everything right now! Kellyx:wubclub:
