Hi, I was just wondering if anyone is currently being sponsored through a third party like Geoffrey Nathan? I'd love to hear your experiences. What are the advantages / disadvantages. Any feedback is much appreciated! My head is in a bit of a spin at the moment. My currently employers have said they won't sponsor directly but would be willing to offer me a 12month contract if I go with a third party sponsorship- but I need to turn this around quickly. I don't know whether to decline the contract, find a new temp job and just start the long process of applying for the 189 or accept the 12 month and go with third party. Help!

sponsorhip for auto electrician/experience on earth moving equip
Guest posted a topic in Careers and Vacancies
Dear All, we are very down. Hubby has passed TRA for auto electrician, I have spent 2 years requalifying as Australian lawyer we cannot seem to get past the tick box system and recruitment agents to find jobs. We need a job sponsor. Hubby is one of the best ever auto electricians with experience on heavy trucks and emergency vehicles and coaches . Every job if it does not stipulate must have visa to apply stipulates , mining equipment experience required. We cannot despite trying find anywhere in UK to get that experience. Having spent over £6,000 and 2 years studying by distance learning and the cost of a trip to get admitted as a lawyer and 2 years of looking for a job for hubby we are now very depressed and time is against us due to our ages. We do not have family in Australia but I have loved the country for 25 years and been a regular visitor. Took hubby out there for holiday and he fell in love too. Hubby has been told that if he gets a visa there will be no propblem with his skills getting work. Chicken and egg syndrome!!! We just want one person to see us as individuals and recognise our committment to Australia and talk to us, or provide us an avenue to obtain the mining, experience on earth moving equipment. I guarantee you hubby will amaze you with his talent. It would be encouraging if even one person replied to our job enquiries. Any ideas, gratefully received, Shelglen -

Greetings, I am eligible for state sponsorship VISA from NT. I am an HR professional. I just wanted to know whether a person under state sponsorship will be eligible for any unemployment benefits? I am planning to be in Darwin by the last quarter of this year. I would also appreciate if somebody can throw some light on the employment situation in Darwin. Thanks and Regards Prasad

Hi all Well we reallyare starting from scratch here, can anyone tell me what sponsorship is, means, do you need it ect.:embarrassed: I have been reading a lot of the posts on this site and its mind blowing, one person wrote they had spent £21,000 so far on the move and were now renting. Does it really cost that much? Here I'm a self employed Steel erector/welder and my wife is a house mum we have 4 kids. We would end up in Oz on the street if it costs that much:confused: Shell could do most things workwise as our youngest lad is now 7 Nikki is 16 and the other 2 lads are 17 nearly 18 Could I be self employed as soon as we landed or do you have to work for an employer for a while? Head is spinning with so many question this site is quality and very helpfull thanks in advance. Ste & shell
