    sounds like torture!!!

just reading through some of the other posts...are most people going through this whole process on their own or would it be better to have an agent do it all for you...uploading documents etc.. sounds like a computer degree would be helpful!!!

    Sounds Good!

I have been in touch with a few migration agents and think i should be able to save on these new practical assessments.I m from Northern Ireland and use a UK passport .As an electrician i would need to pay 2600 $ AUS for said exams. I m told that if i get an Irish passport then i won t have the same fee and the visa time will drop from 12-16 months to 6-10 months.Has anyone done this before or heard of it. Would prefer to do the right thing first rather than rush into something i later regret.... Thanks

    Sounds Familiar!

Hi to all. I like alot of people clearly on the site am potentially looking to move to Oz. We are both according to assessments in jobs that are in demand, I am in Medical Sales and my wife is an Acupuncturist. We would like to know where is a good place to live west? or East?, North or South? Lol. Ideally we would like to be semi-rural as both jobs need to be fairly near major cities. Any advise really would be greatfully recieved especially on job hunting, schooling etc. Very best wishes Scott:)
  7. HI can anyone please answer this question... my friend who lives in Perth has told me it is easier to apply for residency rather than emigrating.... Is there a difference? The first of my many silly questions..... Julie
  8. Hi All, Just got a job offer in Brisbane so it looks like we will be heading over on mass in a month or 3. Really just starting to look into everything, but one of the biggest things for us is the education of our kids (8,5 and 2) - I have been having a read of the forums but any advice on good schools (state or private) would be appreciated. Likewise what would be consider a comfortable or good salary for the Brisbane area? We are not sure of the exact location in Brissie yet but are considering anywhere from the Sunshine Coast down to the Gold Coast. Phil & Sarah (and tribe)
