  1. Hi guys, A while back I remember reading a post which gave a link to a site with some tips on Government job applications - specifically how to answer the selection criteria. I have searched for this post and can't find it again. So if anyone knows where the post is, (it may have been by Quoll??) or who knows of a good site for this type of information or who can give some tips. I would be very grateful. Thanks:wubclub:
  2. Morning all Am just about to apply for my first role in Oz, at one of the University's in Melbourne. They ask for a CV, covering letter and a statement addressing the Selection Criteria. From what I gather this is giving examples and experience against the criteria, but just wondered if anyone has done something similar and been successful? I've got all of the experience they're after (currently work in a similar position in a UK university) - just wondering how much to waffle on for  If anyone has any tips then I'd be very grateful...
  3. Looks like Oz is looking to move to a similar system as NZ - with an expression of interest before you fork out the big money http://www.immi.gov.au/skilled/general-skilled-migration/skilled-migrant-selection-model.htm
  4. DIAC is introducing this model from July 2012. The Model is proposed to commence on 1 July 2012. As of this date, new applicants for independent, family or state/territory sponsored migration would need to submit an EOI and be issued with an invitation before lodging a visa application, unless eligible for transitional arrangements. The first round of invitations is expected to occur in January 2013. Transitional arrangements currently apply to certain people who, on 8 February 2010, held or had applied for a Skilled – Graduate (subclass 485) visa. This group is able to apply for a permanent skilled visa under the previous system, until the end of 2012. There are no additional transitional arrangements in relation to the Model. 7. When you apply to join the Army you will be required to pass a number of tests. These tests are known as the BARB TESTS and the higher your score the more options that are open to you. We will not only show you how to score highly on the BARB TESTS but also how to pass the entire selection process at the first attempt.Visit jointhearmy.org.uk
