  1. Now it's not a regular occurrence where a realestate agent will work with someone who is still overseas, especially if it's a nice property. However, I have been chatting with an agent today who has a gorgeous 4 bed home available in Sandhurst, Melbourne (lovely area), now as you all know there is still a legal obligation for you to view a property, however, she is more than happy to do all the paperwork over the internet and then when you arrive show you the house and then sign you up the same day. This is a great opportunity and although I don't usually post properties on here this is not connected to me in any way just a very nice agent. The property info is: When you walk inside this beautiful home you will be delighted! With only 1 previous occupant it is still brand new. Features Include: * Master bedroom with ensuite and walk in robe * A further 3 spacious bedrooms with built in robes * Open plan kitchen with gas cooking and dishwasher * Gas ducted heating * Additional living space, perfect for formal dining or theatre room * Outdoor alfresco entertaining space * Double remote garage * Landscaped gardens This magnificent home is only a short drive to local shops, schools & Sandhurst Golf Club. A truly stunning property that wont last long

My family and i are moving to Melbourne at the end of July. We are thinking of moving to the bayside area, however we are also thinking of Sandhurst as an area also. My husband will be driving some of the time into melbourne CBD. Anyone got any idea on the time that would take? Thanks

    Anyone living in Sandhurst?

Hi, Well we have finally arrived in Australia! And we are now trying to get things sorted as quickly as we can. We are currently staying in Frankston (but its not for us) and are interested in Sandhurst, I like the new style of housing. Does anyone live there that could give me their views on it. I have three children aged 7, 10 and 12 and my main worry is the schools. I have read on here about a couple of priviate schools, but they are faith schools and we do not follow any faith. Also where do you go to shop? Carrum Downs looks a bit run down. Anyway any information would be useful as we are like fish out of water at the moment. Thanks, Linda
  4. Hi everyone, I'm new to this forum but have been a member of Poms in Adelaide for 2 years now but we are moving to Melbourne on the 10th of November! I am still getting to know the good and bad areas to live via sites like this and word of mouth. I have come across a lovely house in an area called Sandhurst and it seems to good to be true so I wanted to ask everyone on here if they thinks its a nice area for families and does it have good state primary schools? Any advice is greatly appreciated. Thanks, Kerry

    Hello from Sandhurst, VIC

Hi Everyone, Seems I should have done this first...before I posted a load of stuff! Oh well...we are Jon and Trish. New in SE Melbourne, by way of Sydney, formerly of Reading, UK! Both 50 somethings. My wife works in IT, I am an electronics engineer. Our daughter is married to an Aussie and lives locally, which is how we ended up here. We have left our only Aussie friends behind in Sydney, so if there are any lonely Brits out on the Mornington who fancy meeting for a meal/coffee/beer drop us a line. We think we are quite easy going and with it...but we are 50 somethings don't forget! Cheers!

    Schools near Sandhurst

We are now renting in Sandhurst. Enjoying it so far,but now need to start thinking about schools/kindy. I wondered if anyone had any advice for local schools as there are about 7 local primary schools. Does anybody have kids in any of them? Pros and cons if possible. Not decided whether to go private or not so want to look at them all before making a decision. Thanks a lot. Rach x

    Melbourne Suburb - Sandhurst

Sandhurst is one of the most exclusive suburbs for golfing in Victoria as well as being home to the PGA of Australia. Sandhurst is in the south-east of Melbourne CBD, approximately 35 kilometres from Melbourne's CBD. Access to major regional centres such as Bayside, Frankston, Mornington Peninsula or Narre Warren should only take ten minutes. The beach and boating facilities of Patterson Lakes and Carrum are only 5 minutes away, at the end of Thompsons Road. The local area is well serviced with a range of family and community facilities including public and private schools, shopping centres and medical services. Sandhurst was originally part of Carrum Downs, however, like most new suburbs in Victoria, once a development has taken off they create a new suburb. The Sandhurst Development Sandhurst Club is unlike any other residential development in Australia. Apart the impressive array of club facilities and services you'd expect from such a quality project Sandhurst Club also boasts some truly special and unique features. Residents become an actual member of The Club entitling them to have an active involvement in the future of their community. A cutting edge communication network incorporating security system for all homes provides peace of mind and real benefits to residents that are simply not available in other suburbs. Best practice environmental initiatives add to the physical appearance of the estate and the standard of living of all residents. Then there's the ClubLINKS concierge programme which offers a standard of service that will make you feel like your living in a holiday resort all year round. ClubLINKS Concierge Services As a resident your unique ClubLINKS card entitles you to all the benefits of ClubLINKS providing a range of member services with convenience and choice. Like a concierge in your pocket your ClubLINKS card allows you to book recreational facilities and 'to your door' services, gardening, cleaning, pet minding and other domestic services as well as allowing you to golf or dine at other high quality clubs nearby or far. Home of PGA In a historic and unprecedented move, The PGA of Australia relocated its national headquarters to Sandhurst Club in 2006. This includes the PGA’s Centre of Excellence Golf Learning Centre and its PGA Junior Development Program with established world leading teaching and training facilities that will promote tomorrow’s champions as well as those new to the game. Sandhurst Club members will also benefit from the expertise that the PGA brings to the game of golf. The decision to call Sandhurst Club home reinforces the quality and reputation of Sandhurst Club – a venue the PGA is proud to be associated with. Along with the superb facilities and two championship standard courses having the PGA permanently based at Sandhurst Club will ensure that this is one of the premier golfing venues in Australia. Facilities Sooner or later in life, our decisions are guided by quality of lifestyle. Unprecedented in Melbourne, the concept of club living at Sandhurst is all about creating a better lifestyle for its members. It also takes the idea of community to a whole new level. All at once providing a sense of escape, and a sense of belonging. As well as the Clubhouse with its bars, licensed restaurant and members lounge, Sandhurst Club has a Health Club with a pool, aerobics room, gymnasium and Tennis courts. The commercial precinct also provides cafes, community services and possibly serviced accommodation and convention facilities. Not to mention the national headquarters of the PGA of Australia and its impressive golf facilities including golf retail shops are located at Sandhurst. Security Although there is not a high crime rate in Carrum Downs or the surrounding areas, we all know that people feel more relaxed knowing that there is security on site. We understand that the wellbeing of your family and the security of your property are some of the most important factors dictating where you make your home. That’s why at Sandhurst Club we’ve developed a state of the art security system throughout the estate. Best of all you would hardly know it exists unless you need to use it. Your peace of mind is assured with a clever mix of human and electronic security. Security monitoring 24 hours a day provides assistance and monitors activities in the estate and within every home. Discrete technology such as closed circuit TV also protects club premises and property. Resident Members Every property owner is a Resident Member of Sandhurst Club. This entitles them to a wide range of benefits and privileges that serve to protect and improve, over time, the physical amenity and standard of living of owners and residents. The objectives of the Club are to: 1. deliver cost of living savings to owners and residents 2. establish an advanced e-community 3. highlight public recognition and awareness of Sandhurst Club 4. optimise utilisation of facilities 5. develop financial self-reliance.
