Infant car seats for the UK? Maxi Cosi Pebble system for sale
Jason O posted a topic in Kids Down Under
Hi there, We moved to Sydney in Sept 2016 with a Maxi Cosi Pebble infant car seat and isofix base only to hear they weren't complaint in Oz. If you or anyone else is moving to the UK and need a min condition system for $150, drop me a line. We're in Fairlight, Sydney. Thanks. Jason -
Hi All, We are moving from Cheltenham to Sale (Victoria) in April and have had three quotes for shipping. For a 20ft container, prices range from £4,500 to £5,000, plus marine insurance. Is this a typical ball park figure? Many talk about this being the first quote. How do you bring the cost down from such a figure? Bear

Hey, I have for sale my Ford Falcon Station Wagon. She has travelled and camped with a group of us very well for half the coast and looked after me excellently, been a cruise! Now it's time for someone else to make use of her!! The car is really good on petrol, (I drove 12 hours up the coast .. And back.. With one trip costing 1.5 tank of petrol, just $150!!) very economical I find considering her size! Great for camping! There are curtains, the seats fold on and sleep 2 I can throw in camping gear if wanted, 2 sleeping bags, tents etc. Great for travellers, so much room!! Or for those needing a decent big wagon!! Travelling - exactly what I did, only selling her now as I have settled in an area where I will need a 4x4. Shes petrol, 233111 mileage - and as they are used as taxis in the city and as I have found Aussie cars are designed to travel far! She's super! I'd keep her if I didn't need something more suitable for my needs now!! Her tyres are in great condition, the previous owners took care of her too. She has had a new battery, alternators, starter motor, brake nessecities, tyres etc. I found she drives like a dream on long distances! She is white, has Aircon and a CD player. A fab chance to purchase her especially if you are heading off to QLD as she is queensland plate! Hit that east coast straight from nsw! .. Or I'd be happy to travel a distance within reason. I am an hour south of Coffs Harbour! The Rego has another 5 months too. Contact me if you wish to view or have any further questions. Oh - and I'm looking for 2000$ for her! :-) Thanks Cam xx Tried to attach a picture but can't from my phone!! She's in good nic. - can send you one now.

Hi folks :-) Please excuse me if this question has already been asked recently. I have done a search and nothing relevant appeared hence the new thread. We are looking at emigrating in a couple of years (OH is from Brisbane) to live with family. After researching a little it would seem opinion varies on when to put the house on the market when selling to emigrate. We live in a terraced house in Yorkshire and with the market being a bit more fluid recently up t'north I hope it won't take long to sell, when the time comes. We think that first time buyers and landlords will be the main interest. My main question is what area do you live and how long before you planned to leave did you put the house on the market and how quickly did it sell? Do you have any tips for me? I am starting renovations soon (I am a big planner!) as it's quite an old house but mainly just decor and replacing flooring in the works. Any advice appreciated. Thanks!

Hi, Am moving back to the UK so selling my beloved car. It's only 2.5 years old and is still under manufacturers warranty and has a 7 month rego on it. In top condition with full service history and new tyres, brakes etc. I've spent a good bit on money on the upkeep of this car as was planning to keep it - until I made this sudden decision to move back. One lady owner - no pets or kids. $18,700 (*will consider reasonable offers) Inspections welcome. I live in surry hills and the car is kept in a secure garage. details and pictures here: http://www.carsales.com.au/private/details/Toyota-Corolla-2010/SSE-AD-2434173/?Cr=0&sdmvc=1 Note to self - never name your car, feels like you're selling your pet! -
I'm selling a Black Holden Barina as I'm heading back to the UK next week and need it to sell asap!! It's incredibly reliable and economical, it has done 143,000 kms, it has recently had new break pads and has absolutely nothing wrong with it. I paid the rego and CTP insurance at the beginning of October so you won't have to pay that for another 12 months!! Ideal as a run around or travelling car which you can sell on. There is a small dent in the front driver side and the bonnet has lost it's shine but apart from that the body work is very good and shiny and beautiful! Comes with log book, all certificates etc. Has very powerful aircon, a CD player and iPod lead. please pm for number LOCATION: Ashfield, NSW Thanks!

Selling House In UK - How to appoint Power of Attorney.. ADVICE!!??
MikenSal posted a topic in Aussie Chat
Sorry if I've posted this in the wrong place.. but it is a bit of a dilemma.. Hopefully someone on here can point us in the right direction. we came out here in 2008 and settled in Yanchep, About 1hr north of Perth. When we came over we were unable to sell the house as the market in the UK had crashed. We had to rent it out and hope that things improved. 5 years later and our neighbour in the UK wants to buy it and knock through! Cool. So we got a buyer.. now for the problem. My father is wiling to do all the leg work with regards the selling of the house as we are doing it privately. However we need to grant him power of attorney. Can we do this from over here? And if so, how? I've looked online and cant seem to find much out. Any guidance on this would be muchly appreciated. -

We have taken a deposit on this car so it's off the market. Thank you for all your interest, I hope those carless find something soon. Hello, We’re selling our trusty steed which has been very reliable and ideal for our time here in Australia. We are however at the end of our 1.5 year stint and need to sell up. It’s a Toyota Corolla Wagon (small estate) first registered in 2006. The mileage is high at 224,500km but it’s just passed a service with flying colours. Has full service history, comes with a roadworthy certificate and registration (rego) until May 2013. For more details send me a message and I can email you. We’d love to let it go to a new comer and help them out with an easy car purchase since this is what stressed us out the most when we first arrived. Oooo, can also throw in a Melways for free - the map of all maps (even has play areas & BBQs marked on!!). Great family car or second car and is very useful for moving things around with the large boot. We live down in Aspendale and ideally it would be free to go late August. So we're moving back. Melbourne has been great but there are so many factors now that mean we are making the move: births, deaths, loved ones, LAFHA (don't get me started) etc. Anyway, was just wondering what everyone else was doing in terms of selling stuff or are you all taking it back with you? We're planning to ship/fly boxes home but not the 1/2 container that we came over here with. Personal stuff will go but everything else has to stay. We have 2 months left and, well, don't want to sell til the very end to avoid sitting/eating/sleeping on the floor especially with two young children. Thinking we'll have to frantically sell sell sell in the last few weeks. And the Car??? So glad we're leaving in winter/early spring, would be tough leaving in summer...saying that, we won't get a summer for another year! Thoughts, comments, suggestions welcome.

We have now been granted PR so i will be actively looking to sell my business. Anyone interested can PM me. Thanks After buying and running my business for the mandatory 2 years, we have just reached the turnover requirement needed to apply for state sponsorship and then PR. Both years we have reached the turnover required. If anyone is interested in a business that is really easy to run for a decent handyman or tradie let me know. The business has been established for 38 years under 4 owners. The lady that works for me has been working here for about 15 years and will stay on. This is our website www.cobbscanvas.com.au This will be a very very affordable business that covers all the requirements for PR Paul
