I'm going to be driving from Brisbane to be in Cairns by 28th of September. Will be keeping n eye out for relocation rentals, and failing that just renting a car. Looking for anyone to join the trip/contribute to petrol/make it less lonely! Happy to stop and take some time, as long as I get to Cairns by the 28th all good Still waiting on an Aussie number, in the meantime if anyone's interested post up here. Cheers!

Next weekend is the 5 day Easter weekend. Me and the OH have taken the Thursday and the following Wednesday off work, giving us 7 days. We just bought a new car (Accord Euro) and were hoping to take it for a roadtrip and see some of the state. I'm working on my music playlists at the moment, as is she. Do you think this route is achievable, It works out to be around 1800km: Sydney Lithgow Mudgee Sofala Orange Parkes Forbes Cowra Young Wagga Wagga Tumut Perisher Blue Jindabyne Cooma Canberra Goulburn Kangaroo Valley Bowral Can anyone suggest any things to do in any of the destinations, particularly the middle areas from Orange to Wagga? How long should we spend in key areas and how many of them are simply 'just pass through' areas? I had earmarked night stops in Mudgee, Forbes, Tumut/Perisher, Canberra and the Kangaroo Valley - though we are not going to book accommodation, just see where we end up. And finally, if you feel up to it, name your recommended roadtrip songs? (try and limit it to three)

Hi everyone, Could use some advice please - we are going to be driving from Melbourne to Mackay in January over 9 days. Relocation agents are going to be packing the house up, but there is some stuff that we will need to take in the car with us. The likes of my work laptop, personal laptop - documents such as car insurance & ownership paperwork, marriage & birth certificates and even jewellery (relocation agents advise to take all this with you and not pack it) Unfortunately, because our stuff is going to take a few weeks longer than us to move up north than we are, all this will be in the car with us. Obviously this makes me nervous - what if the car gets nicked with everything in it? :policeman:Do I need to take out additional insurance for this? Is there any other safe way to get this stuff up north? Or should I be locking it all up down here while we travel, (minus the laptops which we definitely need), and then pick it all up next time I fly down? All help and advice welcomed!! Cheers Jules:wubclub:
