Harrassment by RSMS Employer. Will my visa be revoked if i leave my job?
Guest posted a topic in Visa Chat
Hi all, I got my rsms last Nov and came to regional area in Jan this year to start my job with my employer. Just yesterday, one of the mgr shouted at me in the office and made an insulting remark which i felt was uncalled for. And i felt insulted by it. this is the last straw as i have had to endure previous similar incidents over the phone. When i spoke to the business owner abt it, he implied that the mgr was not in the wrong. I was not given any feedback as to my work performance before this incident but was only told during the talk with the owner that they do not think i am performing. I was also called a racist but they could not give any examples when i asked for it. Neither was there any clarifications with me when he 'heard about it' from 'the staff'. I am getting stressed about going to work everyday and not knowing when i will be shouted at again or being accused of not doing things which I did not know i should be doing. (Note: I took over from my predeccesor and did what I was taught and no one said things were done the wrong way then). After this incident, I am dreading to go to sleep because it will be tomorrow then when i wake up and I will have to go to work again. My question is will my RSMS be revoked if i leave this employer and work for another employer in the same town? I do not mind living and working in this town if i can find a job. My husband and I have even bought a property in town and he has also got a job. So i think we are committed to stay for the long haul. My employer has kinda threatened to say that if this is my way of trying to get out of the situation, he will have no choice but to report to Immi. Do I have a case? Distressed and teary. hi just want a bit of advice we have been granted a 175 visa and are flying to Sydney on 9 October. My OH is a boilermaker by trade and is hopefully wanting to get a job on a FIFO in WA. The other day he had a text message from a bloke claiming to be from a well known company offering a possible position on a FIFO. My OH had an apparant phone interview last week, where a "scottish bloke" interviewed him, one of the first questions asked were "DO YOU TAKE DRUGS", my OH admitted to smoking cannabis ten years ago, which we didnt think would be a problem, but now the supposed employer have text him stating that due to this admission the application for the job has failed, this information would be passed on to the australian embassy and may jeopardise our visa application. My OH was jubious about the initial job offer due to the fact, it seemed to good to be true, money wise $72. I didnt think employers could access information from the australian embassy about tradesmen coming into oz, but when my OH asked where the company had obtained his telephone number from and details, he was told by the Embassy. We are concerned now that this will affect us getting to OZ. Any advise would be great please. Regards Nicola x

:cry:Hi all, email received this morning by WA to say the job offer has been revoked as its a perm position we cannot apply, they can sponsor to fixed term positions. We knew this was the case thats why we included a covering letter when we applied stating all that, we were advised by their recruitment team at the start to apply for every job and include a covering letter to explain we need it to be fixed term. i cant tell you how devestated we are i cant even speak. this is it for us no more i cant mentally take this end of our journey no where on earth is worth this much upset:cry:
