  1. If anyone is after a reliable, clean and solid car then take a look at my Saab on Gumtree below and drop me a message. I'd rather it go to a good home than have to flog it to some dodgy second hand car dealership at the last minute. Cheers all. http://www.gumtree.com.au/m-my-ad.html?adId=1049181311
  2. my stepdaughter is moving back to the UK in a couple of weeks  and needs to sell her car ASAP. Sadly she has had a lot of time wasters and very dodgy calls from other sites. Its a great little car, fab first time car, very reliable, she has been all over Brisbane, the Gold and Sunshine Coasts with it and it has never let her down. I dont have much of a budget so up to $5000 ish, I appreciate that this wont get me a beauty but it will be used to ferry my kids around so it must be safe! Drop me a message on here if you are looking to sell in the next month. Thanks guys.
  4. Could anyone please recommend a secure and trackable parcel service? I have been lurking around "parcel2go" and "Interparcel" (where they use partners such as FedEx or TNT) - but is it really reliable? I need to post 20 kg of books from the UK to Australia which are very important workwise and which I will need shortly after my arrival in Melbourne. Have you experienced any problems with the above companies recently? Any up to date experience would be much appreciated.:wubclub:

  7. Hello there! My name is Ellie, I'm 26, female, and moving to Sydney on 1st November 2010 from Manchester, England. I'll be working near Harbour Bridge (as an Environmental Engineer) and would like to rent a fully furnished room in a house/flat for around $200 a week including bills, either close to my work or somewhere which has good transport links. Also must have internet but other than that I have no real requirements! I'm very reliable, easy-going, clean, tidy and considerate. I enjoy walking, cinema, theatre, reading, music, cooking (and eating!) arts and crafts and having a chat over a good old glass of wine, but I'm always keen to try new things too! If you think you have something roughly matching this/or know anyone who could help, please get in touch! Thanks for taking the time to read this and hope to speak soon, Ellie

  9. My 15-yr old daughter (16 in couple of months) is happy to babysit if anyone needs someone. She's available at weekends and on Friday nights (after school onwards) and charges $7.50 an hour. She loves kids and has experience with toddlers and younger children. Send me a PM if you want more details. We're in Highbury so anywhere local is good for her (Hope Valley, Dernancourt, Vista, Fairview Park, Tea Tree Gully, Athelstone). Diane
  10. :wacko:Hi Can anyone help me as I am in desperate need of a honest reliable agent who is not just after my money! My hubby is a Roofer and has his NVQ 2 as a slater/Tiler but have since found out that this will not be enough because he needs 900 college hours which he has'nt done as it was issued on grandfathers rights. Anyway we are desperate to get to Australia but are not on the Main list so now we have to wait for all the states to release a list which is why I want a good reliable honest agent (if there is such a thing) as everytime I am ringing agents off the net they are telling me porky pies that the state lists have been released but they have'nt. Please can anyone help or recommend anyone. Thank you for your time x

  15. I am in the process of researching our phone/broadband etc etc for our house in Oz and whilst some of the packages provided by Telstra and others are quite good when it comes to International calls, I was wondering if anyone uses an independent provider for cheap calls back to the UK? Ideally want a company that provides good quality calls (eg no drop-outs, echo's etc) at a good price. We will use Skype alot of the time, but if we are by the pool, or somewhere it isn't feasible to have a PC nearby, would like it set up so we can make a call back to the UK. Any advice appreciated Shell

    Reliable, honest agents?

Hi everyone I have just filled out the online visa assessment with 'live in Australia.com' agents and I scored 120 points for the skilled visa programme and now I am ready to begin the long challenging process. I just wanted to know if anyone had dealt with 'live in Australia.com' agents and if they were reputable? Any agent recomendations would be great, thanks in advance. Sally & Maarten
