  5. Hi all don't want to sound like i'm moaning but looking at the forecast and looks like rain again this week. Having only moved here a month ago and still awaiting shipping we have a distinct lack of things to do in the house when its raining. I've tried one indoor play place in victoria point which was okish although expensive and small. Any other ideas to do with a 2 1/2 year old. Can't find many playgroups except on a tuesday so we've got quite a few other days to fill. In england we would have gone to groups or round friends houses so not quite sure what to do with ourselves here thanks em

    Redlands, yes or no?

Dear All, Just been looking through schools and like the look of Redlands College, Queensland. Love the idea that all 3 of my little people can attend as it takes from prep to year 12. Anyone already using this school? Please PM me if you don't want to post. Just looking for any information and personal views of the school. Many thanks Tina x

    Wellington Point, Redlands

Wellington Point, Redlands Wellington Point is a well spread out little town with that quiet back water village feel. Talking to locals, your considered to have "made it" if you live here. The house and land prices tend to be a little higher than surrounding areas, but well worth it. At the end of the Point, you have a parkland with a sandy beach, shallow waters and views over Moreton Bay looking a North Stradbroke island and various small islands. The water is nearly always calm. Very safe for young and old. There are two boat launching ramps next to the jetty, which is very popular for fishing off. We have seen dolphins swimming next to the jetty, almost with in touching distance. On a number of occasions we have witnessed weddings in the parkland (shows how beautiful the area is). The "village" has 1 hotel/pub and and about 10 cafe/restaurants and a few small shops all on the same section of the main road. The quality is fantastic. There is also the Redlands club, which has the feel of a workingmans club, but much cleaner, friendlier and has two restaurants. I could go on and on....... We love it here and this is where we are going to end up staying. We've been here 4 months and have found our "home". The Tuckers
  10. Just wondering what the conditions are like for nurses at redlands hosp, shifts, flex shifts, money, single parent living ect!!!!, would i have a decent quality of life with the money? x
