  2. Hi, Just wondering if anyone has had any dealings with a company called Act Now Recruiting who are based in Oz?? He was recommended to us through another user on here, but just wondering if anyone else has used him, guys name is Mark Weare, he specialises in finding you work and arranging visa. Also works in line with a guy called Nigel Sanders from AVP Migration, also based in Oz. He seemed to know his stuff and was saying all the right things, but as they are based in Oz and we are in Ireland and we cant go meet face to face, i thought id post on here!! Thanks in advance:biggrin:
  3. Hi, Moving to Aus (WA) to be with family and work as a doctor. Huge number of medical recruitment agencies out there. Wondering if anyone knows who's good and who's not. Thanks, HH
  4. Hi!, I’m from WA Roller Derby. We are WA's biggest ladies roller derby league with teams in Bunbury, O'Connor, Joondalup and Queens Park… with more teams on the way! If you're keen to get out, get fit, have fun and make friends then come check it out! Prior experience is not necessary. Some venues offer gear hire and some don’t so get in touch and we can let you know how to get started. We are also looking for guys who would be interested in becoming ref’s. If your feeling too shy to jump straight in we will be at The Castle, Northbridge, Perth on the 15th January for the Varietease - Dirty Pretty Things night where there will also be live bands and burlesque performances. Later that night we will be at the midnight showing of Whip It (a movie all about our lovely sport) at Movies by Burswood. We’ll be doing promo in our Derby gear so feel free to find a derby girl and say hello/ask questions Myself I'm originally from Scotland and wish I'd found this as soon as I arrived. It's such a laugh and a great way to meet new people and feel part of Perth. Hope to see you soon x
  5. I can't believe it! I'd heard a rumour that NSW RTA had purchased a fleet of mobile speed camera units, well, they're now recruiting 4 Camera Specialists. Problem is, I've put my Prospective Marriage Visa application in and am waiting...... The closing date is 27th August and I'm in Sydney from 9th till 20th September 2010!!!!!!!! Would be a great time for an interview..... Should I apply and hope they'll consider me or should I contact their recruitment unit first so I don't waste my time completing the application process for them to say I'm not able to apply due to not having a current valid visa????? The role has come out of nowhere, I am qualified to do the job, it would be great timing!!!:policeman:
  6. Hi All Thiess are a huge Aussie company who seem to be involved with civil engineering, mines and all sorts. What they actually do is too technical for me. Their website is here: Thiess Currently they are recruiting for the huge desalination plant which is about to be built near Melbourne. I have not checked whether they are recruiting for any of their other projects elsewhere but there is a map showing where all the projects are, with links to each one. It is an excellent website and given that employer sponsorship is the new game in town, anybody who knows anything about building a huge plant of any type would do well to examine the Thiess website. They are mainly looking for a project management team for VIC at the moment, I suspect. They say they will start recruiting for tradies and others later in the year. Cheers Gill

There's plenty of job opportunities not only for experienced Electrical Engineers, but also for those willing to start a new career as Electrical Apprentice.
