    186 DE question

Hi all, The situation is: the nomination has beed approved for 186 visa direct entry (early December 2020) We have lodged an application but due to a mistake (the Ielts test certificate is later than lodgement day, ) we need to withdraw the application. The question is can we reapply? Does the sponsor need to reapply too? Or the nomination is still considered approved? Thanks in advance
  2. Hi there, One of my friends informed me that her agent attended a seminar arranged by South Australia migration office 2 weeks before regarding SMP. There were a lot of discussions but below point makes me worried which is alarming: “South Australia's previously approved state sponsorship applicants may need to reapply before they are approved under the new State Migration Plan ".... Not sure what’s going on.... If any migration expert can clear or confirm the above point. ............................................................................................ Application status: Category: 475, CO: not yet allocated
  3. Quick question: What if you want to change the occupation of your visa... They have initial told us that you can't... I don't understand why since we are qualified for both and the occupations overlap. Our positive assessment now includes both occupations. We would have initially applied to both on the DIAC app if they let us... So we had to make a decision... Then the changes to the priorities as well as the changes to state skills lists.... Can you withdraw from the app, get some sort of refund and re-apply? Can you apply again without withdrawing the first? We need to make a slight change in occupation in order to get/use state sponsorship... Maybe we should try to convince DIAC to simply change the occupation once we have the sponsorship? Advice is appreciated.
  4. Hi guys, I cant afford a lawyer & this is my first thread....so please be kind! I'll explain the case in short, so that you guys can understand my complicated situation a little better. I applied for my PR under SC886, under my sister's sponsorship. I completed my engineering (4yr degree), which means I could have been assessed as a Professional Electrical Engineer. But, I MADE A HUGE MISTAKE (probably the biggest in my life!!). I applied as a & got assessed as a Electrical Technologist. Which now does not put me in the critical list. I applied for my PR on the 25th of March 2009 & have submitted all my papers, including my Degree Assessment as a Technologist. Do you get it...?!? I'm not on the critical list due to my ignorance during applying for my Degree Assessment!!!!!!!! I do not mind reapplying for my Degree Assessment as a Professional Engineer. But, how do I inform the Immigration Dept. that I have been re-assessed?? You know! Or even if I get my degree re-assessed, will I & can I be considered for the Critical List? Is it possible?! Please provide me with any advise. It would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

    Help Should we reapply

Hi all, My husband is an IT Manager/Project Manager from South Wales with 11 years experience, we recently applied to the computer society, we supplied 7 years of references and my husband has a BTEC National Diploma in IT which in the UK is equivelant to 3 A levels. However we were turned down. From the response it appears that the BTEC national diploma is not recognised and they only accepted 5 years of his references. Question does anybody know if they fail you based on Qualifications and the usual 6 years for ACS Do they automatically assess you for RPL? As we have read up that the RPL requires 8 years of references but because you have a Diploma deducts 2 years? We are wondering if we were automatically considered for RPL and then because my husband did not supply additional reference if this is why they failed us further as they stated on the letter that they only recognised 5 years of references. I suppose the question is do we reapply with additional references in the hope that it will automatically be considered under RPL?? Does anyone have any insight to this. I would appreaciate any support as we are confused where to go next really. Best Regards Sarah
