WE have been renting in Leichhardt, which as been going pretty well, until now. Owner is ending the lease as they want to renovate. Was 10 months on the waiting list for nursery- have to pay deposit this week. Ow have 2 months to find alternative arrangements. I am a teacher and am on 89 k per year, hubby who has only been permant resident since End of July is self employed on about 75k. MY work is on the north shore and I don't drive so I couldn't live out west- and to be honest I don't want to. We just can't afford to buy in SYdney.h Ubby won't be able to until he has worked for a year in any case. We have two children so a unit wouldn't really fit , we have loads of furniture....just ranting .....sorry!!,

:arghh: OMG I know youve heard all this before.. but I have to RANT........ I HATE THE RENTAL AGENTS WE WERE WITH..... weve had final bond inspection today and I can bet a whole years wages that the house was 100% better when we left to when we moved in........ Weve been left a message that the house is not up to standards.... cant actually read the list of complaints because the silly gets didnt attach it properly to the email.. Ive only just got over the stress of the last 10 months of HELL... and finaly got rid of the lingering headache....NOW IVE GOT IT BACK BUT WORSE...... We are not giving them an inch..... we will take this all the way to the courts and beyond if required.... I would like other renters in my position to get in touch because someone finaly has to stand up to the bullying tactics these so called professionals commit....... It only takes one person to start the ball rolling, if needed I will even take this to the tv show.. A current Affair or Today Tonight (WA)... as these shows are quick enough to lay the blame on tenants.. lets get our side across.... IM SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO ANGRY RIGHT NOW... defo not going to sleep tonight...... :arghh:
