Hi there, just getting some opinions on people who have lived in Randwick as it's pretty much highest on a shortlist of areas I'd be interested in living once I make the move in June. Ideally looking for a laid back place to live with a decent level of shops/cafes not too expensive rent, and not too far from a beach and park space. Will be commuting to Kogarah, but the OH to CBD, but not too fussed about the distance. Would love to hear from anyone who has lived/is living in Randwick. Thanks!

Can anyone help with the area around Randwick, We need a property for a family of 4, (children 17 and 11), so need primary and good high school. Have looked around coogee, Kingsford, Daceyville? are these nice areas. Have also looked Bexley, Rockdale and Kyeemagh? Trying to work out the distance from Randwick (where I will be working) it tricky. In the UK i commute to work for 40mins driving each way, which is OK. Will be looking to rent property at about $700 pw? is this reasonable?

Hi. My Partner and i are moving to Sydney on Monday and have accommodation for the first week we are there but need something from the 28th for a longer period ie 6 months. I used to rent a property in Edinburgh and have a letter from the landlady if needed. i will be working as a staff nurse in the POW Private Hospital in Randwick so something nearby would be preferable but not essential. I have been looking on the regular rental web sites ie domain.com.au but as inspections are only at weekends we are quickly runnning out of time. Anyone who can help out a little would be really appreciated. Thanks Yvonne and Scot
