    Railway personnel

I just thought I would mention to guys who are affiliated with the railways that the Railways Union Holiday accomodation exists. We have belonged to them for years membership is approx $50 a year dependant on states. There are many benefits to membership i.e. cheap entertainment tickets etc. You do need to be sponsored by an existing 2 members and put before the Board for approval. To hire a 2 bedroom house in say Hobart for example we pay $30 for two per night, fully furnished and they are stunning homes. We have 2 in Hobart, 2 Launceston, Devonport, St. Helens etc. We have used them all over the country and never been disappointed.. All they ask is for you to bring your own bed linen and leave the house as spotless as you found it. Benefits also include many events including Christmas parties for the children which are heavily subsidised, golfing and sporting events. It is an excellent way of meeting people as well. Membership will allow you to book interstate including New Zealand. For those in WA WARI Western Australian Railways Institute (INC) WARI Western Australian Railways Institute (INC) Example... Busselton Margaret River Albany Port Denison sleeps 8 NSWRI - Holiday Accommodation Cabins start at $245 for 6 people for a week which is excellent value for a holiday. Queensland Railway Institute offer a wide selection including the wonderful Magnetic Island. It does give members a wonderful opportunity of seeing Australia for amazingly low accomodation prices. 9. Hi Everyone, I just wanted to put out there that I have an opportunity available in Sydney, Australia. However my client is after specific qualifications and skill set. I am looking for a qualified Signal Engineer to work on Rail Stations in Sydney. Ideally, my client is looking for someone who is accredited by the Institution of Railway Signal Engineers. Preferably with licenses in Signalling Design Verifying and Signal Tester in Charge, however it is not a necessity. Lower level Signal Design and Testing licenses will definitely be accepted. My Client will pay for cost of moving and we will organise step by step with you, your working Visas in Australia. Can you please let me know if you fit this description or if you know anyone else does? Thanks Guys. :cute:

    Mandurah To Perth Railway

Hi, Just wanted to let everyone know that I used the new railway, Mandurah to Perth today. It cost me $8.10 for a family pass, thats return too, we left Warnbro at 11 ish and returned at 3.30pm. It was fantastic, the train was a bit busy on the way up but on our return it was so laid back and quiet!! The coastal views were fab, and it was so easy, just park your car at your station, get on the train, you are in the centre of Perth in about 20 mns, FANTASTIC !!! Will def do it again!!
