  1. Hi there, I only moved to Oz last week and so I am totally new to this forum! I am an English qualified Solicitor (3PQE - civil litigation and conveyancing) and was wondering if anyone else is in the process of trying to cross qualifying and has any advice regarding the process and/or has any advice re the job market in Sydney and whether it is preferable to get a job in the first instance as a paralegal or an English qualified solicitor. Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks Sarah
  2. I am UK qualified solicitor hoping to move to the Northern Territory with my husband. We are applying for state sponsorship (my husband's profession is on the critical skills list). Has anyone moved to NT and re-qualified to practice there? If so, I am interested in hearing about your experiences. I am currently trying to work out what I will need to do to be admitted to the NT Law society. Any info/guidance would be greatly appreciated! Thank you

    RSMS: Qualifying Visa Issue

Hi All, I have a question regarding the qualifying visa's for the RSMS Visa. I have got my nomination from the Center of Excellence which is the second step for RSMS. Now I'm all set to apply for PR. But the issue is that I have my mum as dependant in the Nomination form and she is holding a tourist visa subclass 676 and is currently here in australia with me, while I hold a Class VC- 485( which is listed in the qualifying visa for RSMS) Can anyone tell me if it is mandatory for the dependant to also hold a qualifying visa?? Should I be applying an onshore RSMS (subclass 857) visa or a offshore RSMS (subclass 119) visa?? Will really appreciate some advise and help with this. Thanks Andy

    Nursing Post Qualifying Visa?

Hi Can anyone help my wife with a query she has about Nursing Visas? She is about to attend College/University to study Adult Nursing and hopefully will graduate with Honours Degree, Does Australia Immigration require 1-2 year post qualifying experience before a visa would be granted? Thank You

    qualifying age limit

Hi Does anyone have any idea if the qualifying age limit for a skilled visa has been raised from 45? I have just heard from a friend who emigrated 2 years ago & she thinks it has been raised to 50 or even 55. That would be just too good to be true as it would mean we didn't have to rush everything through:jiggy: Thanks ali
