Sorry to be a bore on this subject BUT............as title says.........Can we get anything like stream TV etc so that we can watch Strictly Come Dancing OR Dancing On Ice? I don't watch much TV at all but these are the only programmes that I may be missing in the grand scheme of things! To be honest TV is not top of my "to do" list whilst in OZ but would be nice once in a while! Any suggestions much appreciated! Oh! AND I missed the rest of "I'd Do Anything"...............Can you tell I like Musical Theatre and Dancing:yes:

Hi all nurses, Does anyone know if EU trained nurses (German in this case) with proof of EU directive 2005/36/EC standard education, IELTS 7.0 and experience and recent practise meeting AHPRA requirements need to undertake any kind of bridging/adaptation course in Australia before being granted registration? Our registration application has been processed to the stage where its going to the board for assessment on 16 April but AHPRA in Tasmania has said it’s likely a bridging programme will be needed. Searching AHPRA’s website I can only find proposals from 2009 of what might be put in place for this not anything current nor can I find anything very illuminating on the net in general. Does anyone know anything about this, my fingers are nearly worn out from searching! Many thanks and good luck to all who are waiting and hoping. Simon.

Just wondering if anyone has used the likes of my expat network.co.uk to watch uk television programmes on ITV player etc? We are all really missing the X Factor and and Strictly come dancing ( yes I know, how sad....but true! ) but am always dubious about downloading and subscribing monthly to things like this, so if anyone has ever used this or something similar and it works, please let us know, so we can get our saturday night fix of UK tv!! Thanks

I just wondered what people's general opinions are on the relocation programmes about moving to Oz? I used to watch them all the time before I came to Oz, after we'd decided for ourselves it was worth applying for the visa. I thought they were useful for getting an insight into the areas we were interested in, but I did wish they included more info on how the schooling/banking systems (and so on) work over here. Has watching these programmes made anyone actually want to make the move or did you just watch them after you'd made the decision? I know some PiO' ers have featured in some of the programmes and it would be great to hear their thoughts on this too! Sue x

Hi, my OH (who to this point has been totally chilled about everything) is suddenly panicking about watching UK TV programmes in oz...specifically his beloved footy! Or more seriously the crime dramas etc we like to watch. How do people watch it - e.g. BBC iplayer, satellite TV, internet or other? Or will he forget all about Aston Villa once he feels that sunshine...thanks all (I am thinking ahead to Strictly and X-factor next Autumn though!! :-)

Soooo the burning question is - what are they like? I know you have Foxtel over there with a limited number of channels but what is the general telly viewing like? Can I also tune into BBCi on the computer to watch Casualty or not (someones said I cant due to the tv license thingy) Any info greatly appreciated as I dont want to be watching Cartoon network EVERY day though the kids would appreciate it!:biglaugh: Jo x
