  1. Hi all! New to the forum, but I have a burning question I've been wondering for a while. I'm a secondary science teacher, looking to migrate to Victoria at the end of this year/early next year. I enjoy teaching, and am looking forward to seeing whether the work life balance is any better over there. My question is; If I get a 189 visa granted, so I HAVE to get a teaching job over there? Say I taught for a year or so before deciding I'd had enough- could I just get another job in a different profession? Or would immigration people hint me down!? I can't seem to find any restrictions regarding the 189 visa- are there any? Part of me thinks that unless I went onto claiming benefits, I'm sure it wouldn't be a massive issue. Or is this best saved until I've been there 4 years, become a citizen and then can no longer worry about the visa? Thanks in advance!
  2. Hi all, Please can someone confirm when this DRC checklist (using RMA agent) started for ENS 121 visa and what's the current time frame for nursing profession. My wife' is a nurse and her employer NSW Health is happy to sponsor for 457 but refusing for ENS 121 as it takes months to process. Being a big employer any idea how much time it will take for their Nomination to appove and then if we lodge visa application using DRC then roughly how much time it will take. They want her to start work in May or June so if the whole process (Nomiation and visa) takes 4-5 months then we can request them to sponsor for PR visa. Appreciate any info/advice. ...Mansawant
  3. Hi All, My family and I have started to look into the possibility of emigrating to OZ but my profession isn't on the skills in demand list. So I'm guessing my only option is to find an employer willing to sponsor me. Any ideas how to go about this? Anyone been through a similar situation? Any help and advice greatly appreciated!
  4. Dear friends According to my profession as an Agriculture Consultant, How can I get piece of information about the most demanding city of Victoria for my profession? Best regard Thanks a lot for your time and consideration Mohammad Reza Roozbahani

Many thanks in advance for any prompt reply :wubclub:
  6. Does anyone know? I've now finished my '3 out of the past 4 years' work experience as a primary school teacher (which I've been enduring purely for the purpose of going to oz!) I'm going to lodge my online 175 hopefully in the next few weeks and just wondered if it would be ok if I quit teaching in the summer and looked for a different job? Would my CO (when I eventually got one) want to know what my current job is? Would it be a problem if I wasn't teaching anymore? I might try teaching in Oz (to see if it's any better) but I'm not even sure if I'll want to be a teacher in Oz either! No idea what job to do next. Any bright ideas from anyone? Ruthie x :wubclub:
  7. Good moring guys As you mostly know we are going to Oz on my skills as a hairdresser, my hubby is a print finishe (doesnt involve binding though) but he also has a FLT counter balance and reach license which has been part of his job for the past 5 years or so, so he has plenty of experience in it. Im just wondering if we could use his work experience towards ur points rather than me having to do the IELTS test, does anyone know if its on any of the skills lists, I want him to feel like he is contributing something to us going over there. I know there are FLT jobs paying around a tenner an hour (£ not $) so not too worried about him getting a job there,
  8. Hi, I am an actor living in London and have been lucky enough to have enjoyed, lets say, moderate success. In the next few months I will be moving to Melbourne and was wondering if anybody out there knew how best to work to acting industry in Oz, contacts, advice etc. I have tried to do as much research as possible but it would be great to hear from someone who knew from personal experience ir simply thorugh knowkedge of the performing arts. Thank you so much.
