Hi, Wonder if anyone can offer some advice. We have an apple tree overhanging our deck, which is visited nightly by possums. Every morning the deck is liberally covered in poo. If it is hot outside the poo dries quite quickly and sticks to the wood like superglue. If it is wet, the poo sticks like superglue or falls through the gaps to the dirt beneath. Either way, the area is a big attraction to flies and I need to find a solution. I don't have the heart to try and have the possums removed. An electric fly zappers is one option. But that obviously only catches the flies once they're flying around. Is there anything I can spray over the area (that won't strip the varnish off the decking) to neutralise the poo? Or what else can I do? thanks all :biggrin:

Personally I see a pigeon having a poo. The photograph of the circular object has now been unveiled at the Cornwall UFO Research Group (CUFORG), which was founded by Dave Gillham in 1995. He said: 'The person who took the photo never saw anything in the area while taking the photo. 'It was only when he got home and downloaded it onto his computer that he saw an object - a disc shaped craft, hovering just above the sea. 'There appear to be two trails of water beneath the object which looks as though they are falling from it in to the sea. 'It could be that the object has just emerged from the sea.' Mr Gillham could not shed any further light on the origins of the object, which has left many scratching their heads for an explanation. Other observers have a more straight forward answer - it is merely a seagull doing to the loo mid-flight. A spokesman for the Royal Navy air base at nearby Culdrose confirmed that no military aircraft were in the area at the time. He said: 'Culdrose did not have any aircraft airborne after 5pm on Monday August 1 so any helicopter in the St Austell area was not one of ours. 'As the airfield was closed until approximately 19.00 when the SAR was scrambled to an incident at Newquay the radar was not manned between 17.00 and 19.00. 'It is always possible of course that a civilian helicopter could have been in the vicinity of St Austell around 17.14.'

What a right load of B*ll*cks!! Moving out to Melbourne on 4th October. Our stuff got packed by the shipping company on 17th August...and is still sat in Leeds in a container! How frustrating, and when ever I ring them I get made to feel like such a pain in the ass! I used this company because it had nothing but good reports from PIO members so I got in touch. When the man came out he made it seem like this company was the best thing since sliced bread. Promised us that if we shipped on the 17th August we would definately have it by 1st November which is when we need it for. He said it never takes longer than 12 weeks in total from door to door. Now we are right up the sh!t creek and will be without basic things like cutlery, crockery, towels etc for god knows how long!! Definately would not recommed this company and wish we had chosen who was originally going to go with - PSS. These guys were even a lot cheaper than who we used, definately proving that you don't always get what you pay for. My first impression wasn't that good when the packers first turned up with one pen between 3 of them which had just about run out, and they were trying to faintly scribble Melbourne on each box because they have no stickers left in stock! So stressed at the moment, this is the last thing we need with only 3 days to go before we fly out there. Wish I could turn back the clock  By the way, if anyone is interested.... the Queen wears one!! Just hope to goodness that our stuff gets there in one piece, when it eventually turns up!
