  1. Hi There!! I am moving back over to Sydney in the next couple of weeks. I've already lived there for 2 years, and I'm returning while applying for a defacto visa with my boyfriend (who has ozzy citizenship) We will probably be living around the inner-west area, although we have not found a place yet. We would love to make some great new friends over there, so would love to hear from anyone interested in meeting up! It will be great to have a network of "Pommy mates" I am originally from the North West of England and my boyfriend is from Dublin. We are 29 and 34.

    Pommy bath?

I was in the park and overheard 2 youngs moms talking about their new bubs and how cold it has been. One said to the other "yes it's been so cold not sure whether I should bath the baby tonight", To which the other girl replied "aww just give him a pommy bath". I know the poms have a bad rap for not washing! So what exactly is a pommy bath? Quick lick behind the ears with water??? I thought it was quite funny. LL

    Little Pommy Battlers

Well, we been here in Geelong nearly 2 years, and I'm afraid to say that times are tough. We're gonna have to show some real grit. So we've become little pommy battlers 1. first up, we can now only afford 5 spoons of sugar in our tea instead of the usual 10 2. we went to the Good Guys on satday to buy a telly for the kid's playroom. It was with tear in my eye that I said yes to a 42 inch plasma (instead of the 50 inch that we have in every other room in our home). Giggle and hoot just won't be the same 3. the kids have become so fat that they no longer fit in the car. So we've been forced to walk to the park. Geez, that 100 meter walk is tough...a battle you might say 4. as the kids can no longer watch their in-car DVD players in-car, I've rigged up contraptions that dangle the DVD players in front of their heads..beauty! 4. being unable to use the car, we've discovered with wonder that shops have insides (as well as drive thru's) 5. On a personal note I've had to trade in my Iphone 3G But hey, this great ****ry didn't become what it is today without personal sacrifice and good old bloody hard yakka
  5. Looking forward to some good times!!!:laugh:
  6. Hi, I am a Brummie Psych Nurse living on the Gold Coast, I arrived in June last year and am working at Robina Hospital. My wife (Linda) and dogs arrived in November, Linda has yet to find work. Despite 'putting ourselves out there,' we have found it difficult to find friends. Are there any Brits out there in the same boat? we would love to meet up with you. Marty
