Hello all - hope you are all getting on well! Hit the 10 month waiting mark for my PMV yesterday, trying not to focus too much on it but it's hard when everyday you log in and it says "Further Assessment". But anyway...it will get there eventually! Hoping those grants are coming in soon for all of you who have been waiting! Anyway - wondering if someone can help me with my query. I am travelling to the USA for two months in June and July for our "honeymoon" (we are doing our honeymoon before we actually get legally married!). On the off chance that I get my visa soon, do they give you a specific date you need to enter by? Our wedding is booked in Melbourne for August 2019 so there isn't a huge amount of time between the end of our honeymoon and that date. Not too worried...but I love a panic, especially when it comes to my visa. I just have visions of having to leave my fiance alone in USA while I jet back down under. I am currently offshore, at home in Edinburgh for a (freezing) couple of months! Thanks to anyone who can confirm!
Hi, I have a question to those who applying from USA, yesterday I got an email requesting more info which is state clearance and STATUTORY DECLARATION, this is supposed to be wittnessed and signed by who? A notary public? Please advise also do you know if that means they are ready grant the visa after submitting those info? Thank you!
Hello everyone, My Aussie fiance (Dave) and I just applied for our PMV (subclass 300) visa at the Australian Embassy in London. I know it'll be a long wait now, so hopefully keeping in touch with people in similar situations will keep me going.. Love and luck xxx Di
I received an email from my CO yesterday. They asked for some more things for the application. One being emails and phone logs of our time apart. Thought I gave enough originally. No problem have plenty more. The original NOIm. No worries will sort that. I have an official letter but not the NOIM from the celebrant as I was not there to witnessed it signed when filed by my fiance. Now to the sticky part- that asked for this: "Evidence of the Sponsor's financial support (The sponsor is responsible for all financial obligations to the Australian Government that your partner might incur in Australia.) Examples of financial support may include a letter of employment from the sponsor or the sponsors statement of earnings issued by the Australian Taxation office." She is unable to provide this as she has been on support from Centrelink on disability for two years. What do we do? Do I be honest, let the CO know we don't and why with official documents from the start as to why she hasn't. Or just send those docs from centrelink in? As anyone familiar with an Assurance of Support (AoS) we can't get one until they specifically ask for it. I don't want any denial of visa and have to reapply. What do we do here?
