  1. Hi all.. We made it here and phew what a journey!! Ha. We have done our very short and unsuitable stint in the temp apartment in Coogee- now just trying to get settled in our lovely house in Neutral bay.. Loving the area and so chuffed with our choice, but now all the chaos has died down and the hubby is flat out working I am looking for advice on things to do with the little ones aged 2 and 1. Guess I'm just looking for people with similar aged little ones in the area who fancy meeting up, or who have any tips on things to do and where to meet people done some local exploring and earmarked the local preschools and playgroups etc, I'm all for looking out of the area a bit more but we haven't sorted a car yet and the bus can be somewhat hazardous with a double buggy and a defiant 2 year old! Ha. So if any one has any top tips or fancies meeting up then feel free to get in touch Hope you have all been enjoying the glorious Sydney sunshine and hope to hear from you soon l.. Hayley
  2. Hi Moving out in 2 weeks and have a place in year one for my 6 year old in school but am still confused as to when my 4 year old will start, his birthday is december if that helps anyone? Also if he does go to Kindy is it half days, two days etc? Are there any groups around to take my 4 year old too as we will miss our friends here and this would be a good way to meet people for all of us? We will be in the quinns rocks area (hopefully - husband is out there trying to find a house as we speak!). Finally daughter does ballet here just basic stuff are there any ballet classes or brownies around too. Thanks

Hi, Me and my family (My husband and 2 sons age 3yrs and age 12 months) are moving to Perth around September time. Can anyone advise me on the playgroups in Perth, i.e how much do they cost, do you leave them for a couple of hours or do you have to stay with them? Will they be able to attend the same sessions? Any advice or information would be much appreciated. Thanks Mandy:biggrin:

  7. Hi we're moving to Melbourne in March (Wifey, Baby and Me) and we're trying to get an idea of which areas we would like to live in before we get there and we quite like the look of Berwick and anywhere along the coast from St Kilda to Patterson Lakes. We've found lots of information on properties but not really that much regarding which areas are the best for families. I've not found much information on playgroups, baby classes and mum and baby groups and other things like that so could anybody offer a bit of advice regarding which are the best areas to live in for families in terms of there being other young families and lots of things to do nearby. Darren
  8. Hi there, Just wondering if anyone could recommend a playgroup in and around the Hillarys area? I have 3 boys, 7, 5 and 2 and whilst my older boys are enrolled and heading back to school in a few weeks, I'm really wanting my youngest to be involved in some sort of organised activites group for his age range. Also, I see it as a great opportunity for me to mix with the mothers. We've only been out here a few weeks, so still not fully clued up on all that's going on in the area. Many thanks.:cute:
  9. Hi - we've recently moved to the Northern Beaches area from UK and I'm looking for some playgroups to take my 2 year old daughter to. Can anyone help? Thanks x

Hi, I'm trying to reseach playgroups for when we move to Brisbane, in less than 2 weeks! My son is 2 and a half. He goes to a playgroup here, three mornings a week, where I don't stay with him. Do they have these playgroups in Brisbane and also ones where mums or dads can stay with them? We have Surestart centres here which are brilliant, wondering if Austrialia have something similar? Thanks Sarah
