  1. Hi All, We moved to Mt Eliza from England about 4 months ago and are loving it so far! I'm 31, my husband is 37 and we have an 18 month old son and a new baby on the way (due in a week!). My health nurse mentioned that there was an English playgroup in Mornington, but from what I've read on here it doesn't seem to exist anymore - is this correct? If it is still running, could you please send me the details of where and when? If it's not going anymore, would anyone be interested in setting one up again - or just simply a general regular meet-up in the park, etc? We are currently attending some toddler classes and a playgroup, but it would be great to meet some like-minded people with little ones in a similar situation to ours. Thanks! Jenn

  3. Dear All Mummies & Children; I am starting a new playgroup in Joondalup running on a Thursday morning between 11.30 and 1.30. Currently there are 6 or 7 confirmed mummies and children (2 to 4.5) all hoping to attend; but to make it financially viable we're looking at a minimum of 10 parents and their children; plus I like making new friends! We're all a lovely group most of whom have been here for less than a year. If you would be interested in joining us, I have started a Facebook Group... thought it was the easiest way to introduce ourselves and keep people informed of the information prior to the Playgroup opening. Search on Facebook for THURSDAY PLAYGROUP (JOONDALUP) or email me at gemma@watson-mail.com Gemma

    UK Playgroup

Hi All I have recently moved form Melbourne to Hobart where I was a member of a UK playgroup - some families were all from the UK or just one parent like me or just spent time there. We met once a week as a playgroup in a casula manner as more of support for the mums and also had mums nights out and various other events. The babysitting circle we had was fab as it meant you babysat for each other and therefore could go out without the cost of a babysitter! Let me know if you would be keen to be part of the UK playgroup in Hobart thanks

    Mornington Playgroup

Ive been asked to make any mums with pre school kids aware that a Brits playgroup has started up in Mornington recently & they are looking for some mums to come along on a Wednesday at 1pm at the Benton Square Community centre. If you go along look for Jackie or Louise or if you need more info feel free to PM me & I will pass on Louises mobile number. This is a new playgroup so obviously need a few mums support to make it work. So if your around Mornington / Mount Martha area get along on a Wednesday at 1pm for a chat & some cake while the wee ones play. Cost is only a $2 donation.
