Hi everyone. I applied for a spouse visa which was recieved on 21st April. I send medical and police checks around the same time. I was asked for a little more info also on the 21st (finicial support proof) and sent it that same day. I e-mailed a month later to double-check everything had arrived and was given the standard '3-4 month' reply. It's not been nearly 4 months since my aplication was recieved and I'm starting to get concerned. From the stats I've seen on this site most applications were granted within max. 2months (mostly sooner though) I am considering contacting my CO again although don't want to pester him. Has anyone else been in this same position? Is this the standard waiting time in 2010 so far? Should I contact my CO? Thanks in advance guys, this forum has been a constant source of information and support. Liz

This is a bit random but does anyone know if it is possible to send over a single piece of furntiure to Oz and if so how would I do it? We are selling all that we own as it is not worth the amount to ship over, however I have an old chair, prob about 100years old, worthless, but was my great grandma's chair. It is just a lovely piece of furniture and the only thing I am really sad about parting with. I obviously wouldn't sell it, I would just give it back to whichever family member wanted it, but tbh I would really like to take it with me! It isn't very big, not really even sure what sort of chair it is? Anyway, is there anyway I can send it across? Can you send large wooden boxes across? (That may be a really simple and silly question - but I just don't know?!) If so we could put a few other items in the box? Anyway any suggestions/help would be much appreciated!! Thanks in advance!

Hi Everyone, I am aware that there are many PIO regulars out there waiting anxiously to hear about visa applications, employment applications etc and it set me thinking about the sort of music I like to listen to when I get stressed out and I came up with a few songs but have chosen one which I find very soothing. Have a look at it and think about your own favourite,I will be fascinated to see what you come up with. YouTube - Once You Had Gold-Enya :cute: N'OZ

We will check again in a few days once the vet has seen them.....We can't believe after all of the goings on they are finally there...Just me and the kids now then all can be reunited....can't wait Yvonne :spinny:
