  1. Hi Friends, I am a specialist doctor and need some guidance on 189 or 190 visa application. I completed my specialty training from India and applied to AMC & RACP for assessment of my training/education. RACP found me fully comparable to an Australian trained specialist and after completing 12 months of peer-review practice, I got my specialist registration. Now I want to apply for 189/190 visa. I want to claim points for my previous work experience in medicine & the specialty field. I checked Govt immi website and it says assessing authority is Medical Board of Australia. But on Medical board website, there is no mention that they will assess the previous work experience for points in immigration. I have called them also and they confirmed that they do not assess previous experience. Please help with the below: 1) How to get points assessed for the previous work experience 2) Do I need to get around 80 points to get the invitation, or is it less for a doctor (as very few people apply in my occupation) Any help would be highly valued. Thanks!!

    Employer Sponsored PR Visa

Dear all, I'd like to ask if there is any possibility for an employer who owns an IGA in Perth to sponsor a Malaysian for employment and possibly permanent residency? Thank you in advance! Regards.
  3. Hello, I'm very new to this site so hope I'm doing this correctly. I was hoping to get some advice from anyone who is in the know / has had a similar experience. I have been employed with my employer for 2 years and 5 months. My employer completed a nomination for me for 186 visa In May last year. I submitted my application in October last year. It has only recently come to my attention that the department are disputing the validity of my visa and it sounds like it won't be granted because the nomination was put it too early. ( My concern being my money for visa may be lost despite them not even looking at my part of the application yet ) We have received nothing formal yet - but communication / response is proving very difficult. Im just wondering how likely it is that the nomination and subsequent application would be approved given it was submitted early ? Even though that time frame has long been surpassed? And I made contact before I submitted my application and feel like I have been given misleading information? Also, if it was to be refused - what would my options be? Or is there anything I can do now before it gets to that point ? I have been trying to access some advice from certified migration agents and waiting on call backs/ appointments but my anxiety regarding this is getting the better of me so thought I would post here to see if there is any other advice. Hope to hear from someone soon. Thanking you in advance.

Will i be able to still get the RRV for 5 year if i stay there for 2 years? Or it shall include 2 years of the last 5 years Initial Visa i had? 2. The RRV requirment stay 2 years... That doesn't include time of intial 5 year via... One can go last month of expiry and stay there for 2 years to get 5/ 1 year RRV Visa? Will be very thankful to your help.
  6. Hi everyone, I would like some help to add my parther to my VISA. I have tried to find any similar topic but I didn't find. Please let me know if it already exists so I can post there my question. Currently I am holding the PR 187. In September this year I will be eligible to apply to citzenship. What is the best to do? Wait for my citzenship to be granted and add my parther? Or add her to my current VISA 187? I guess it will cust much more if I add her now to my 187VISA. Please let me know your thoughts. Thank you
  7. Hi all, I wanna claim 5 points for my work experience in Australia. I have been working with my company for 1 year. I understand that I need to obtain a company employment reference letter to support my claim. My company has written me a letter stating the entire period i have been working with my title, pay and duties. However, I cant provide payslip for the whole year. I only have some payslip. And also I did not get pay for the beginning 3 months but I get reimbursement for lunch and transport instead. Is it still ok to claim for the point? Thanks for answering. Regards, Hong
  8. Hi all, I need some information/advice about Australian Permanent residence. let me tell you about my self. I'am from Pakistan and I went to UK for my undergraduate and postgraduate studies. I did my Bachelors in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Queen Mary, University of London (2010) and then I did my Masters in Control Systems from University of Manchester (2011) and then I worked as an engineer at a power plant for one year. after that I applied for graduate visa for Australia, which is 18 months temporary resident visa and I'am allowed to work full-time. when I applied for graduate visa I did not have to send my qualifications to Engineers Australia for Assesment. I'am currently in Australia on graduate visa and now I'd like to know what possibilities are there for me to get a permanent residence. Please any information or advice will be very helpful for me . or if u need any more information please ask me Thanks Zeeshan
  9. If I am luckly to be able to mirgrate on a 457 visa and my employer offer me a permanant position (all if's) I am concerned that because of my age I will not qualify to get a permanant visa accepted. I am currently 43 will need to work for at least 2 years before apply for residency so would then me at least 45 which is the age you get zero points. As I correct with this ? or because you are already in australia and working do you get extra points awarded. Any help would be welcome, I am confused on what visa I should be applying for. I did pay for an agents advise they came back with visa 457, 186 or 187 explained how they worked but I have asked them the above question and they are not answering me back. Thanks to anyone you can help !
  10. Hi, I wonder if any can help my with some issues... I moved to Australia over two years ago. Initially I was on my partners 457 visa. Last year, I got my PR in April, obviously for both. Unfortunately after six months we decided to split up after several years together. We are a same sex couple therefore there was no children or marriage, just de facto. I met someone else three months ago, and his situation is that his visa will only allow him to stay till December. I don't want it to sound like I want to add him to my visa so he can stay, but where do I stand now?? what happens if i tell immigration that I'm no longer with my previous partner? Will this affect his visa?? I understand as it is on my name I shouldn't really worry. What could I do by the end of the year if I decide to continue with this new person? i would appreciate if someone helped me with it. Thanks.

    Applying for Permanent Residency

Hi everyone We are in Sydney on a 163 Business owners visa and we are coming up to 2 years of me owning a business and believe we meet the criteria (I hope) to apply for PR. In March we will have owned the business for long enough and we need to apply to get PR as my daughter has been accepted into the Uni of NSW and they will possibly hold her place for 6 months whilst we get PR - the international fees are obscene! I am unsure of exact difference between 890 and 892 but think we are going to apply for an 892. Has anyone done this on their own? I need to keep costs down and so if people have any experience then please let me know if you think its possible or not. Or if there are any agents out there that are reasonable in price? All advice gratefully received.... Thanks! Zoe :-)

    457 and PR

OK so I got my 457 and have been in Australia for a year now. I want to start moving towards a more permanent residence status. What are my options? Or is the only way forward ENS? Various different sources say I need to have been here for two years before I can contemplate the ENS solution is this true? If this two year rule is so, does that two years have to have been with the same employer? Any help great!:cute:

    perm residence and disability

hi everyone. some advice please. My partner and I arrived in oz two years ago on a 457 visa (employer sponsored) working for a government department. we made the decision to stay and apply for permanent residence. My partner became pregnant before we started the process but just before the birth my employer submitted the employer nomination so that we could get it started following birth. We understood Kate could not complete the medical until after the birth so we held off. Our two beautiful boys were born a fortnight ago but one was born with downs syndrome, which was unexpected. We are now becoming aware that we may be rejected for our perm residence because of this. It seems the lad has only been on the planet for a week and already he's been discriminated against. All seems a bit 1970's to me. Has anyone any experience of this or advice.

    Graduate 485 to PR

Hello experts, there is a word around that these days if I apply for PR as anything but employer/state sponsored applicant, i will have to wait like 3 years for it. Do you know about the option of converting the skilled graduate 485 visa to PR? is that one quicker? Any insights or shared RECENT experience would be greatly appreciated.
