SophiaDickson posted a topic in Visa ChatSo me and my boyfriend or both 21 and live in England. We will finish University next year and the plan is to move to Australia. This has bee the plan all along and we have been saving for a long time for this and so are very prepared. Basically once we have finished our degree next year were wanting to get a WHV and move over to Melbourne in hope of getting sponsored and staying there permanently. My boyfriend has studied sport and has all the relevant licenses within football coaching and so wants to work as a soccer coach when we move to Melbourne. I will have a Law degree but to be honest Im not quite sure on what I want to do. We are hoping it will be my boyfriend with his soccer coaching that might get a sponsorship. Can anyone advise me on this or let me know if there are any other ways of staying permanently after our WHV, we are willing to do whatever, we don't want to come back once we get there! Thank you.
Hey Guys, I will be looking to lodge my 820 partner visa in the next 10 weeks... Once I have lodged my visa I am looking to hand in my notice who I have my 457 with, and cancel my visa.. I have been told If I cancel my 457 working visa, I will not get a work rights bridging visa Can anyone who has done this, tell me more information on how I can get a working rights bridging visa? Sadly I am cancelling my 457 visa because I am being treated unfairly! my current employer is not sticking to the contract, I am loosing money and hours at work. I cannot report this situation to immigration before I lodge my 820 visa, as I need to save money first and apply for the visa, so sadly right now its a los lose situation! any help would be fantastic thank you
Hi, I am new to the forum. Me, my hubby and two boys came out to Melbourne from the UK in Dec 07 on a 457 visa. We had our visa granted in November and just after my OH was diagnosed with triple coronary artery disease. He had two stents put in the worst 2 and the other one was not deemed bad enough to put one into. He has been fine since but is on medication for life. We will be able to apply for PR in just over 12 months and I am worried that my hubby will not pass the medicals for PR because of this. Has anyone had a similar problem? Or does anyone know of anyway we can get him assessed before the PR medicals to just get an opinion? We are just in the process of changing sponsor and so we wanted to know what our chances are before paying out all over again!!!! Any help or advice appreciated. Thanks Caz:wub:
