  1. Good evening everyone I hope you’re well. I recently (September 2020) submitted my citizenship application and “front loaded” I.e submitted all documents including but not limited to my UK police check. I have just received a further information request asking for my police check. I’m not sure what else they need/ want from me? My ACRO police check is dated within the last 12 month and states my maiden name. Since applying for citizenship and the police check I have not left the Country. Has anyone else been asked for their police check twice or know what I need to do?! Any help would be amazing! Cheers!

    Penal Clearance from Singapore

Hi, all. I have stayed in Singapore between Jul 2007 and Jan 2009 thus I need a penal clearance from there for my 856 application. It is shown on Singapore Police website that a Penal Clearance is only available for Singaporean Citizen which I am not. I have sent the print out of the website with a Statutory Declaration to DIAC and advised by the C/O that it is not enough. She wants the penal clearance and even provides me an appeal letter. I tried to call and email police in Singapore but no one answers/replies. Just wondering whether there is anyone have had the same thing happened and how to solve it
  3. G'day all, I'm hpoing that someone can help. While my wife is at work I often keep an eye on her emails and visa application for any new development. While signed on the DIAC website I noticed an entry for today stating we have been sent an email.. Now because we have appointed an agent I presume this has gone straight to them and I'll have to wait for details of that. However following a quick "text" to my wife I've sountered into the "Document Checklist" section and have been presented with a load of "Mets" and a couple of "Not Applicable" (she changed from familiy to state sponsored). My question is this, the medical forms are showing as requested (having been for our last week I know what these are, the clinic should be finalising them today) but what is the "Overseas penal clearance certificate 1" refering to? We have both completed and received the Police Records Check with "No Trace" results having been forwarded to our Agent so I'm a little confused as to what else this could be.. As always any help would be GREATLY appreciated. - 4lan.
  4. Hi I am applying for a 175 in Australia. On the DIAC website it says that those applying within Australia should submit penal clearance with the visa app but those applying outside of Australia should wait until requested. As the 175 visa is a "outside of Australia" visa I am unsure whether I have to submit the police clearance with my application.... Has anyone else applied for a 175 within Australia and what did you do re penal clearance? Thanks in advance!
  5. Hi there, We have just applied online for a subclass 176 visa and after completion they supply you with a checklist of documents we need to upload. Unfortunately I could not open the 'Evidence of Defacto Relationship' form and the 'Penal Clearance' form. Does somebody have a copy they could send me please. I have contacted DIAC but time is running out before documents need to be uploaded. Many thanks Sam
  6. I've finally been assigned a case officer (woohoo!). I lodged my GSM 175 back in June 2009. So now I've completed the form 80 and have my penal clearance ready to go! BUT... How do I go about submitting the forms? Do I "attach documents"? - have penal clearance certified (do I need to certify form 80) - scan certified penal clearance & original form 80 & attach documents? I remember reading that they want the ORIGINAL penal clearance...is that right?
  7. Dear PIO, Please may I ask a question-and I apologise if it's been asked before. I've found the wording on DIAC's website about Penal Clearance Certificate requirements a bit ambiguous and would be grateful if anyone could clarify something for me. My wife did spend more than twelve months in Australia but this was about 15 years ago. Am I right in thinking she won't need a PCC for this time spent in Oz-because it is more than ten years ago? Many thanks. Simon.

    Spouse visa - penal waiver

Can anyone advise please? We applied for a Spouse visa just over 11 weeks ago and my husband was asked to provide an original police certficate for the time he spent in Saudi with British Aerospace. However, the Saudia authorities do not provide these so British Aerospace in Saudi provided a letter confirming he had no police record. Today we received notification that to process our visa they wish my husband to go to London to complete a statutory declaration which will then be e-mailed to Canberra for them to decide if they will waive the penal clearance form. Two questions - is this likely to be a formality (ie: will the visa automatically be approved) and how long might this take. If anyone can help I would be very grateful. I have posted this on another forum but the more advice the better! Louise PS: London is a pain as we live in the North East of Scotland!
