Hi - I am an Australian Citizen living in the UK. My husband and I have been together for 12 years, married 10 and with 2 children who are also Australian Citizens. I am just about to apply for our offshore partner visa and I don’t know whether to pay for a Migration agent to check through my evidence, or whether the Immi account website is really helpful once you pay the $7,160. I would hate to attempt it on my own and get rejected on the grounds that my evidence isn’t good enough. However, I’ve scanned in; Bank statements, some Utility bills, all our ID, all our tenancy agreements and mortgage documents, cards sent to us, travel documents, photos, Facebook screenshots, our photography website, tickets to gigs, invites. Is the Immi account straight forward once you pay the fees and start uploading your evidence and how can you feel secure that you’ve lodged enough? Thanks, Rachel
nadini777 posted a topic in Visa ChatHi all, I submitted my partner visa in December. Thought it would be useful to open this thread so that we can see each other's progress. I've completed my medical but the site has not been updated yet. Please update this thread when you get an update, I will do the same. Cheers!
bmap posted a topic in Visa ChatHi all, I have a question regarding Partner Visa 309. Hope someone will be able to help me out. I am a PR holder in Australia, currently residing in Australia. However only been here for only a month. Therefore, I am still seeking employment. My wife and I are hoping to lodge her Partner visa application within this week, wanted to know if me not being employed currently would affect my wife's Partner visa processing in any way. Since it has been only a month since i got here, im sure i will be able to get a job within the next couple of weeks. However, I am also able to show a reasonable amount as savings, that I can show as proof saying I am able to support my wife for a reasonable timeframe even without a job. Pls let me know if this would be an issue or if there is a work around for this. Cheers, BMAP
Hello, Thank you in advance to anyone who can help us with our queries.. My partner and I are currently in the process of completing our forms for a Partner Migration visa, I currently hold permanent residency however I have been back and forth from Aus for the past 4 years as I came back to the UK for university as I was not entitled to any H.E.L.P. support with tuition fees down under... ( In that time I have been back on 3-4 month holidays etc, however two years ago I met my partner (who now wants to emigrate) and ended up living with him in the UK, currently still living together and have been for 15 months. We have been to aus in this time but we are just wondering if I satisfy the requirement of being ' usually resident in Australia ' as I have been out of the country on and off. My goals have always been to move back to Australia after university, just being a normal human being I met someone who after 2 years now wants to do make this move back with me. My entire family lives in Perth so we have a strong foundation for moving out there. I just hope that I am still entitled to my permanent residency status. I have checked VEVO on the immi website and I know I have no restrictions on my visa, my PR was granted in January 2012. I hope someone can help us, this is the only niggle we have regarding the application!! Thanks again, Lauren and Paul
